Unless Copeland is a stud, we’re in trouble next year at guard. And may be anyway. This roster is landlocked with some really problematic guards.

It is amazing.

Muller knew what was needed 2 years ago. And this is the output.

There is not one guard on ISU’s team who can:

1) stay in front of his man
2) create his own shot

How does this happen?
A lot of underachieving going on. Looked good on video and paper. I’m frankly surprised by Clarance and Tinsley. I’m guessing Dan is too. Screw patience. Fayne, Milik, and Key will be gone while we wait for this development process to play out. Freshmen and newcomers need to contribute on NCAA teams.

Elijah Clarance had no pre-season practices or physical training. He has played a total of 83 minutes of D1 basketball. If I had to choose between Elijah Clarance after seeing him play only 83 minutes, and what on I saw from Nic Moore through November of his freshman year, I would take Elijah Clarance.

As for William Tinsley, I think next season he is going to be a valuable player coming off the bench. Sometimes it takes JUCO’s until February, or even into their senior year before their game starts clicking. I have confidence in him. I like his hustle, and I think his offense is going to come around.

Taylor Bruninga may not become an All-Valley player, but he is going to be good enough to help this team into The NCAA Tournament before he leaves.

Isaac Gassman is a walk-on, and I think he is very good attribute to this team only being a walk-on.

I am hoping that EC, WT, & TB are all back on scholarship’s as Redbirds for the remainder of their college career. And I hope Isaac Gassman remains here as a walk-on for the rest of his college career.

No Beef House on the way home! Some guys need to decide if they enjoy being taken to the wood shed. Talk is cheap. At least the managers showed up for their game.

I think the issue was they stopped at the Beer House on the way to the game and ate too much. Entire team looked to be running underwater

And the to top it off, a bunch of strangers got on the bus. David NJ, Marshawn Evans, William Tensley, Phil Fine.

Got a real good laugh at this one....especially the last paragraph.

Anyone notice that Indy blue had a nearly 40 point lead and kept their starters in til about the three minute mark. I hope that comes back to haunt them in STL

Serious when I say this....who really cares about that fact...Is it classless?... I would say yes but it is not even worth thinking about.

I don't post here much. I watch all the games that I can and read a lot of the posts on here. I've been following ISUBB for 20+ years.

Yesterday was embarrassing. I have no clue what direction this program is headed in. Yes, I know we lost a lot of players and coaches from last year. But I don't understand our recruiting philosophy. It seems like every two years we have a whole new set of players and have to reinvent the wheel. It saddens me that we can't win a league that no longer has Creighton or Wichita State. I know Jank had 3 cracks at it but his teams would run circles Dan's teams.

I love Dan M. I enjoyed him as a player and I think he bleeds ISU red. Maybe some day he will get us to the big dance. Who knows maybe this year he'll win 3 in a row in STL and get it done.

But....I am greedy. I don't want to just get there one time due to a lucky 3 game win streak in STL. I want to be a Creighton or a Wichita State. And from what I've seen I am not sure that will happen with Dan at the helm.

For ONE season. We've already recruited a replacement to fill that spot. Move along. Until we have another unfilled departure.

Any word yet on why MY didn't start the game?
Beyond the loss of valuable playing time for ISU's leading playmaker on a team that is desperate for playmakers.....once again a game starts or is played with the entire ISU team's focus being distracted by the Muller/MY circus. I am absolutely for discipline and enforcing rules but this game time b.s. needs to end. If the MY infractions are minor as some suggest why not handle the punishment at practice? At this point looks like ISU at real risk of heading into post season play not knowing if MY will be fully available for any particular game.

Well, we got pounded, but I'm okay with it, the day after. Dan Muller enforcing rules in a more or less meaningless game (in the grand scheme of things) with PT restrictions or anything else he wants to do is fine with me.

Program culture/team rules > not enforcing rules in the name of winning. Every time. Be it Quincy, Indy St in January or Duke in April. Every time.

Just for this year. I could see him possibly going back on scholarship in 2019-20 after Fayne, Yarbrough, Evans, N’diaye, Tinsley, and possibly Hein are all gone.

If one cannot be disciplined enough to follow team rules then how could one be expected to play basketball within team guidelines. Furthermore how do we know Dan has not tried extra punishment for violations in practice? It’s also a microcosm of life in general. Follow the rules or you lose your job or whatever. If any of them were to go to the NBA do you think an NBA team would allow that. It’s all about personal responsibility. The only ones responsible are the players who don’t follow the rules.

It's not ego to enforce rules he probably has set in place at the beginning of the year. MY knows the rules, and he knows what the punishment is going to be. If he doesn't like it, then stop breaking the rules. I'm tired of the distraction too, but I'm never going to be mad at the coach for enforcing the rules.

This is the dumbest thing I've read on RBF.net in a long time. The reality is that in order to win in the valley, and consistently, you need to have good players, playing together and playing smart. You need discipline. You don't win by bending your own rules.

Muller-Yarborough's relationship is not unlike Pitino's-Russ Smith back in 2011-12. Smith was always in Pitino's doghouse, got pulled often, didn't start a few games....etc. That said, by the end of the year, he started to get it and led the Cardinals to a National Title.

“Friday, they didn’t. Muller said Saturday some players were late to the team bus, a transgression he said “continues to show our immaturity.”

We keep picking on MY, but the article says several players were late.

Well your dumb*ss post already surpassed these dumb posts. What a moron you are for comparing this ISU team to a past national championship team. I clearly said I am all for discipline. The point I was making is that we have played many games this season where the discipline tactic of suddenly sitting Milik for extended period of time is impacting that individual game and possible the outcome. However despite the in game discipline tactics by Muller... MY has not changed his behavior and we are not too far off from post season play. That form of discipline for Milik is clearly not working. ISU is at risk of going into any game including post season games with this crap still happening. Muller needs to try something else (and likely more severe) as MY clearly is not bothered by missing bits and pieces of playing time. I want to see ISU focused going into post season and not have this issue pop up again because if it does pop up post season we are likely to lose that game.
