Their record against potential tourney teams was very poor. That being said, they would have been a top 8 team without their injuries.
Unfortunately Houston doesn’t get to play a bunch of Q1 opponents like Illinois gets. How many opportunities do they get? Houston only played four P5 schools. I know a loss is a loss, but Houston lost by 1 to Alabama and by 2 to Wisconsin. Bottom line is Houston is in Sweet 16 and Illinois ain’t…

L Alabama 83-82
L Wisconsin 65-63
W Oregon 78-49
W Oklahoma St 72-61

Houston also had nonconference power 5 games against
W Virginia 67-47
W Butler 70-52
W Rice 79-46
Even though Virginia and Butler didn't make the tournament this year, Bryant did. Houston beat them 111-44. Houston also won their conference. If Houston was truly bad against good teams, they wouldn't have a net ranking of 3 and rpi of 8, which both figure strength of schedule in the formula.

My point is the committee will find any reasons possible to give the power 5 the benefit of the doubt above non-power 5.

I think Houston has a strong chance of winning this tournament. Smothering defense and terrific offensive rebounding. Shooting needs to stay good.

Watched the CBI Tournament a few days ago with Middle TN and Abilene Christian. Their NET were in the same range as St. Peter's. Go figure! Be interesting to see how the NET compares to Jerry Palms ratings.

St Peters is looking like a mini Houston on D. Please send the big 10 home.

I don't understand why Carolina is a 2.5 dog. I see them winning this game even though I'm changing my name Johnny Juzang.
