I think they need to look at the formula of what makes a Q1 win.

I think it would interesting to see them get an objective formula to see where every team ranks to determine at large bids. Then evaluate that formula every off-season and continue to try to make it better. It would be much more fun to follow then listening to Lunardi.
-Houston is a 5 seed and has been a Vegas favorite in every game they have played in the tournament, including a 2.5 favorite over Villanova.
-Iona won their conference over St. Peter's by 3 games and finished with an RPI of 33. However, they also had a Net of 90.

Question…is one the metrics being used by the committee a team’s last 10 or 15 games? A team in November does not always look like the same team in March or vice versa.

Lots of double digit seeded teams advancing over so called “better teams.” Just a thought.
