Random thoughts from Final 4/Champion while being there:
- Having watched UNC in person, I think Tone would fit really well into Hubert Davis's system, and would be a good compliment to the roster.
- I don't know the system Scheyer will run, but if he stays with Coach K's system, Tone's skillset would be a good compliment there, though I suspect he would be competing a lot with top tier recruits
- The Duke/UNC game was one of the best I have watched in a long time, and the Championship didn't disappoint either. All the coaches involved were awesome.
- I couldn't figure out where the coaches were hanging out in Nola, but it definitely wasn't bourbon street or the local breweries
- UNC fans are the most obnoxious, Duke fans are extremely bitter after a loss, Kansas fans are the most obnoxious before a game, Villanova fans were the most reasonable.
- The mic on the floor is great for hearing sounds of the game on TV, but in the Super Dome it sounded like they were filming an ASMR video in front of 70,000 people and I hated that.
- Super Dome has a stupid policy about taking the caps off of bottled beverages that I think no other arena should ever copy, especially if you are sitting up any flight of stairs.
- Charles Barkley is a hoot when completely drunk, especially when on stage trying to lead singalongs for songs.
- For those traveling to New Orleans, buy the 3 day Jazzy pass, it is worth it. But, note that they reduce the number of trolly cars on Sundays and they are always packed when returning from bourbon at 11-12 at night.
I don't think the bottle cap thing is new. I've seen it at baseball stadiums.

I assume you are right, but its a dumb rule, especially when someone could just throw the bottle as easily

Tinley park amphitheater will let you bring A bottle of water in but they confiscate the cap. When you're on lawn seating on a slope you need the cap because there's no where to place it on a level. Found out the hard way the first time, then just brought backup cap in m pocketI don't think the bottle cap thing is new. I've seen it at baseball stadiums.
I'm on a committee that brings in a rock concert each summer where I live. A few years ago we booked ZZ Top. In the ZZ top contract rider, one of their things was that all tops had to be removed from drinks. I guess early in their career someone had used one as a projectile missile and hit one of the members. This was a major pain in the butt for everyone that was working in our concession stands. People were ticked about not having having a top on their bottled pop or water and we also had to open the cans of beer also. Turned out to be a not so fun night because of weather. We had two pay the two opening bands not to play so we could get ZZ Top on. We had small break in the weather and they played for about 45 minutes before lightning shut down the band and we got everyone out of the venue before the next storm hit.
I live about 90 minutes from Des Moines. That same night the storm hit the Des Moines area with some areas getting 9 to 10 inches of rain and a lot of flooding. Larry Cotlar, the Drake Bulldogs play-by-play man got his vehicle stuck in flood water, got out and drowned. Crazy night.
