Guess we have no choice but to see what Hein's "net" contribution is/was.

All I can say is everyone on the floor look like a threat. In basketball if you aren’t a threat...you are a liability. We look great tonight.

Best game we played in a long time. Helps when you play your best players the entire game.

Quinn, any chance you could put in your better posters in. This thread is hot garbage with the scrubs getting so many posts

Really interesting that so many people want to talk about how they don't like Hein so much. How about we all support our players, especially the ones that work their a** off & help make this team better?

According to analytics, Hein is one of the worst players in college basketball. I would not be surprised if we play our best basketball without him. You only need 7 players and playing Hein is throwing away minutes. Too many people on here would rather play some guy they like than winning.

Working your @ss off in practice doesn’t = winning games. This is division 1 basketball...not YMCA. Great game tonight...proud of the team.

Not working your ass off ever doesn't win games. We need them all to work hard. We are finally playing as a team & not individuals.

Anybody that watches sports knows that stats/analytics don't show everything.

Some posters like to act like the only reason we have struggled this year is because of Hein. Hein had a role on this team. Play defense, play hard, play smart, and give Evans and Copeland breaks. He is not supposed to look to score. He was playing over Jefferson, because Jefferson stopped making shots and didn't play defense. The reason this team struggled is because their best players struggled, not because Hein played 15 mins a game. Tonight we won handily and only 4 players scored and our best players played great.

Yeah, I agree Cindy. Regardless of your thoughts on his play, it’s embarrassing that a thread about his broken hand turns into unnecessary bashing.

Hope Hein heals up soon, he does make this team better.

The numbers don’t lie. I’m sure he is a great kid. But...he is playing at level above his head. Plain and simple!

STOP IT! We get it. You don't like him. But you're being childish. Agree to disagree and SHUT THE F*** UP.

Come on Cindy00. Nice, smart kid, but the numbers (not just points, any measurement you want) don't lie. He is our best asset when he is coaching/instructing on the bench.

Bottom line. He plays hard. His teammates love him. He wears a Redbird jersey and he doesn't embarrass the team. I support him and wish him well.

Once again, some things don't show up in "the numbers." Go ahead & bash a kid that has helped us win games. If you ask the team they will tell you he makes a big difference.

RicoHill, real disappointing

I said you don’t want to see anyone get hurt. However, we are way better without Hein than with him.

You can dress up your back handed comment to make yourself feel better all you want. You are happy that a player, wearing the Illinois St logo and representing (I assume) your alma mater, is hurt. If it makes you feel better to lead off with “you don’t want to see anyone get hurt” then go for. Much like the “no offense but” line.

It’s low. Real low.

I guess it’ll give the HCDM haters a reason to be mad in March if he’s not back. Playing three games in 40 hours is even better with 3 bench players.
Show me a MVC team that is going 9 or 10 deep? Loyola is really only playing 7. You don't need to be 9 deep to win 3 in row in this conference! 8 is good. Just figure out the 8.

It's too bad after a nice road win a discussion has to be marred by some posters bashing a student athlete. SMH :(

It really was more about are we a better team without Hein playing? The obvious answer is yes. We saw it tonight.

My thoughts exactly! They know exactly what you are saying! I prefer to win games than lose them!

Oh, and I called it way earlier that this was going to be said so points for me.
