Never like to see a bird get hurt. Hopefully a quick recovery for Hein.

While I don't think he has a ton of offensive talent, he is probably our best defensive perimeter player over all, and that is going to hurt us. Will assume Gassman sees more of the floor tonight and we play a lot more zone.

8 without Hein is better than 9 with him.

Weren't we down to five or six players at the end of one game this year because of similar circumstances?

Didn't something similar happen last year?

Fayne, MY and Evans all fouled out. That was with 9 dressing.

Maybe my BB IQ isn't high, but I'll take my chances with the extra body over playing 4 on 5.

I’m sure I can go to the quad tomorrow and replace him.

I hate for anyone to get hurt. I wish Matt Hein a speed recovery. I truly do.

Gassman has not played in weeks. To me, our depth is basically the same as it has been in most of our MVC games. If you believe that and maybe you don't, then it gets down to who do you like better on the floor. For me, it is the Gassman all the way. I will predict if he gets Hein's minutes, 17+, the Gassman will score more than the 7 points Hein has scored in MVC play ALL SEASON. He will have more rebounds as well. The Gassman is scrappy and has a nose for the ball. GO BIRDS!
Why do so many players get hurt in practice? That is 2 in 2 weeks.

Honestly think for the next couple weeks all they should be doing is shooting around in practice. Can't afford more injuries!

Guess we have no choice but to see what Hein's "net" contribution is/was.

Bad luck for Hein. I hope he gets well soon.

I don't ever want to Hear HCDM say another word in the pre-season about how deep and talented his team is. it's so hollow. Every single year we see severe depth issues. every year.

Just curious, what will you do if Muller does talk about depth and talent?

Not believe him anymore.

I said you don’t want to see anyone get hurt. However, we are way better without Hein than with him.

Like Hein or not..we are now down 2 guards off the bench. Thats ok if MY can handle the ball with more minutes and a knee that had to be drained.

You can dress up your back handed comment to make yourself feel better all you want. You are happy that a player, wearing the Illinois St logo and representing (I assume) your alma mater, is hurt. If it makes you feel better to lead off with “you don’t want to see anyone get hurt” then go for. Much like the “no offense but” line.

It’s low. Real low.

I guess it’ll give the HCDM haters a reason to be mad in March if he’s not back. Playing three games in 40 hours is even better with 3 bench players.

I prefer Muller to not waste 18 minutes on a guy that can’t defend or play offense. I wish Dan would have sent him packing in the off season and that be the reason he’s not playing. Also, we look pretty good tonight without Hein. This is Division 1 basketball not bean bags.

Hey man, it’s your screen name. You want to be the guy that cheers for one if your own to get hurt, be my guest.

But I’m not gonna let it go. It’s a garbage take.

All I can say is everyone on the floor look like a threat. In basketball if you aren’t a threat...you are a liability. We look great tonight.

Best game we played in a long time. Helps when you play your best players the entire game.
