3 second difference and no foul???? our length was successful all day, except when the Birds played with 3 guards- Playing Freeman instead of 3 “bigs” and Reeves/Strong set up what we saw. Couldnt matchup defensively with a DII lineup

I want Muller to succeed. I really really do. But watching his teams play is maddening. Indiana State sucks. And they just beat us with an 11-0 run in front of 750 fans.

I just don’t understand this team and this coaching. We play a team that has already played two games this week and had really little time to prepare for the Redbirds. Secondly, they lose their only point guard with about five and a half minutes to go. Unbelievably bad offensive decisions. Reeves seemed hesitant, and there was no offensive flow the last 10 minutes or so. Defensively, too many breakdowns on back door cuts. Just beyond frustrating.

Loyl2u is 100 percent correct. Built our leads with bigs in the game - bring in Mr. Dibble/Turnover Freeman, lead evaporate. All his dribbling stops any flow, all of the players stand around and watch him dribble. As for the end of the game - terrible coaching. You cannot let the clock go down - Freeman had 4 fouls, thus, did not want him to foul - terrible decision. Only 21 points in the second half - more terrible.

The fact that we had freeman on neese down the stretch made no sense. His penetration led to backdoors and wide open looks. Muller finally switches and puts Jo on him after the lead was coughed up. Too late.

So the plan at the end of the game down by 1 was to let them run the clock, get the rebound with 2 seconds left, go the length of the court and hit a buzzer beater for the win. I wonder what the AWS % of those things happening was.

If this game didn’t convince Brennan to fire Muller after this season then nothing will and we’ll be in the same boat next season a year from now.

I believe Cuonzo Martin did the same thing against auburn. Two guys who may be unemployed in a few weeks.

Coaching, coaching and coaching! When is it enough Muller fans? At what point does it become to humiliating? If ISU won’t fire him after today I don’t know what else there is to say.
