Have to say that I’m intrigued by the rumors of eligibility of one iof our new guys. Is anyone putting stock in that? Would really like to hear opinions.

Keith would be great but is in a cast. Ndiaye is academically ineligible so it's not him. Hillsman and donnelly aren't going to help much. Boyd would be a great add. Maybe he can take evans' spot and Evan can be on thd bench where he belongs. He may be the most overrated player on the team.

And Muller should know this. He should know that Fayne and Yarb in th block is the best chance to score every time down and that open jump shots will come through the patience of working the ball inside out.
A total lack of recognition and discipline here is reducing any possible advantage ISU has
other teams know that too and adjust. The ISU team is what it is..over rated on talent especially as respects to bench and also short on bodies.
You don’t have to adjust to anything when the head coach doesn’t do it.

This isn't true at all.
Phil and Milik got the ball in the post a ton today. And just about every time San Diego State ran a double team at them.

I’m talking in general throughout the season.
Milik isn’t even on the block half the time. Phil is but half the time it’s 3 perimeter passes and a jump shot and he doesn’t touch it.
You’re not being honest with yourself if you actually think Muller is disciplined about this.

I like the NCAA. That’s what I want.

The last 2 games Milik had a taller / more athletic player guarding him. You wanting him to post up or go high post is silly IMO. He has no advantage there. His posting up might work when he has a smaller defender on him but not the last 2 games.
Muller hasn’t been happy about the ball movement. He said as much today. Said it gets to one side of the court and never gets reverserved like it should.
You call that undisciplined on Muller’s part. I call it selfish play on our team’s part. Lots of hero ball going on when things start going south.
Regardless the game was lost today because of poor outside shooting. Their starting pg went for what 22 points today? Ours went for 2. We aren’t going to win going 5 for 25 from distance.
I don’t even blame the rebounding on today’s loss. 2nd chance points were similar after all. Turnovers too.

V Boy said:And Yarbrough is 6-6, 230 with the ability to put it on the floor in each direction....shoot the 15 footer at a high percentage....or find Fayne or kick out to guards. He’s Rico Hill with better ball-handling and passing.
What Yarbrough is not is a 6-6 230 lb 2-guard. He had 6 turnovers today. Again. He is a borderline liability on the perimeter.

He was part of the big 3 last year. Maybe it was a career year. He’s struggling, but my guess is he ends up closer to last year by season’s end. It’s called a slump. Like the posting slump you’re in.

Our guards are not quick enough to create shots for the post players. It needs to be the other way around. Consistently (whether it worked today or not).
