We are 2025 /2026 away from anything.
Not if Pedon is any good, this isn’t 10 years ago. You are going to replace over half the team. If you can recruit and coach you can turn it around quick. You don’t need 10 great players to turn it around. Not thinking post season next year, but no excuse not to be over .500

Sad part is the reality of where this program can go has likely passed it by. Missed realignment. Didn't capitalize on Creighton / Wichita leaving. Crowds of 2,000. Consistent losing seasons. Even when things trend upward, what is upward anymore for this program?

My God, our record vs Valpo has to be terrible. I’m going to go to more women’s games. They’re a better team and deserve the support.

Lunardi’s projected bracket has the MVC representative, SIU as a 14 seed. Ouch. The MVC has turned into the MEAC and SWAC. So the conference sucks and we’re at the bottom of that. Maybe the program is beyond repair.

I think Pedon is a good coach. Like you said it’s all about recruiting and the transfer portal. It’s just a bummer to think he may have to clean house again.

This is an embarrassment against a 3-7 Valpo team getting absolutely throttled at HOME! Boy, Pedon has his work cut out for him. Outside of Burford, Poindexter and Knight geeeeez! I knew this was going to be a rebuilding year, but this may be the worst collection of lost offensive souls I have ever seen. There is literally NO fluidity or plan on offense just players camping out on the three point line. No floor general, no one on the team can protect from turning the ball over and outside of free throw shooting no redeeming factors. How in the hell did we beat Missouri State. I’m sorry, but I am just plain sick of losing!!!!!! 1998 seems like an eternity ago. There is NO REASON a scoop the size of ISU, within a couple of hours of H.S. talent from both Chicago and St. Louis should maintain this level of ineptitude. We are all pulling for you Coach Pedon to statutes out this “Shitshow”of a program, but it can’t happen Sain enough. LONG SUFFERING ‘91 grad who has never missed a Redbird game. Door for the rant, but I cannot stand losing anymore!

You have some more insight into this than we all do. Can you expand on exactly why you're saying your first sentence?

Idk about that. Your son, DB, and Luke Kasubke have shown they can hang. McChesney is fine if they bring in the right help so he can play a better spot and not the 5 constantly. They are bringing in a guy in Pence that should compete for minutes quickly then Kinziger is a true PG. Not sure how quickly Walker will be ready but I love his potential.

The rest of the lineup can go for all I care. The cupboard is absolutely bare down low.

I do, too. Most of the players that need to go are from the previous regime.

The four best players on the team were all on different campuses last year.

It’s hard to be patient and games like this suck, but that’s the reality.

I’m sure Kinziger sees immediate playing time as he watched the game in person tonight.

This team, that just lost at home (by 20 points) to the team that was in 10th place, six weeks ago scored 57 second half points to beat (8-2) Belmont 87-77. Not sure I’m sold on the coaching yet.

That team was healthy. Sandy is out, Sissoko is banged up. McChesney hasn’t been the same since he got hurt and then sick. Lewis fell off a cliff.

If you can’t see that the talent isn’t there right now I’m not sure what to tell you.

Probably think the Sox had a great offseason, too.

I know my attitude sucks tonight, but the Belmont game Sissoko played 0 minutes, Sandage 5. Lewis falling off a cliff has nothing to do with health. In the MSU game Sandage and Sissoko combined for 5 pts and 3 rebounds. We miss Sandage the last 3 games, but our 2 biggest wins weren’t built at all on them
