It appears I got my wish on the alternating light/dark green, but they went with Red endzones instead. No complaints here. 1 out of 2 works for me.

Don't know, but my guess is that they're just installing base strips first, and will come back to cut and sew details as desired.MadBird said:Adunk33 said:https://twitter.com/RedbirdFB/status/993882089807405056
Interesting too, the "saved" Reggie at mid-field appears gone too. Wonder what that was all about?
It would make a unique gift to an anchor donor. I love the endzones. Trying to picture whether white or black lettering would look better. Black, right? Gray?MadBird said:Interesting too, the "saved" Reggie at mid-field appears gone too. Wonder what that was all about?

Like I said. Don't have a creative bone in my body.fourthandshort said:If you google images of "red end zones football" .. almost all use white lettering. That is my own preference.

As they say, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in while.fourthandshort said:you nailed the red end zones ... so you bagged your quota of good creative ideas for the whole year then ???

Couldn’t agree more. The banners and flags on the fence at the border between the stands and Horton’s roof were looking really sun bleached, too. Looking forward to seeing it in personRedbirdwarrior said:I notice the older red paint over there looks a little muted compared to the east side. If we can't build over there to make it sexier, maybe just a few grand on a few gallons of paint?

Larry Lyons gets at least his fair share of criticism on these pages. Comes with the job. But I'm in complete agreement. This was done really well. We get that indoor practice faciltiy and I'll become a real fan of his. Nice job, Lyons. Got an ice cold, frosty Bud with your name on it next time you're in St. Louis.fourthandshort said:so white lettering, but outlined with thick black line .. the contrasts look great. Noted pellets are not yet spread. As per usual, once we finally decide to spend money, we usually do things right .. Hancock 2.0, jumbotron scoreboard, and now turf ... all way overdue, but all done very well.
can't wait for date certain for Multipurpose Indoor Practice Facility .. I'm sure we will do it right. Won't be best of the best, but it will be done well.
Can't wait to see full pic of finished field .. going to look great.
But already going to give kudos
