wow evans with a nice take to the hoop. ISU firing on all cylinders

26 - 7

He had really added dimension to his game. Or at least finally unleashed it. I looked at him as a long distance shooter, but he’s so much more this year. Credit Key for putting in the work.

He has the long shot, the nice pull up jumper and ability to lay it in around the rim. Combine that with his decent handles and quickness and he is tough to defend when he is hot.

Tech on Muller. Any idea what he was complaining about?

I was pissed just before that when Fayne got knocked off his feet and was called for traveling.

Agree that call could have went either way. He did drag his foot but there was certainly a lot of the defender's body on him.

Evans was increfiblenthe first half. He was good at threes but his drives witj a stop and pop are taking his game Tina different level. MY can pass it. Phil it better still under the basket. His jumper is still flat but he can take slower guys off the dribble. If EC is as good as we hope this team has the opportunity to be Dan's best offensive team.

Our rebounding is still not great. Yes David will help but others have to contribute more.

Announcers talking about ISU out rebounding Tulsa. Duh...Tulsa has not had much to rebound on our offensive end as we are shooting so well.

why did Tinsley shoot such a long somewhat contested 3 with almost a full shot clock. He is totally forcing it at times.

I don't think we have the A team for announcers

Not sure if im more impressed with Hein being serviceable or Evans taking over every game we’ve played this year. Both are incredibly impressive thus far

Is it me or has Isaac looked really bad in this tournament? Not hitting his shots when he gets them, not big enough to play down low, not fast enough to guard the backcourt. Thoughts? Hope I'm wrong and he can guard in the Valley so we can have a serviceable 3pt specialist.

Nothing against the kid but he was a walk on for a reason

Evans has been incredible. But don't underestimate the value of MY. He got ISU going real early on both ends. He is also really good in all aspects of the game...offense, defense and the transition game.

Good point, I got a little excited seeing him shoot in preseason and hearing MM(last season), others talk about the huge improvement in his 2-way game. Was thinking he could have more of an impact given the opportunity due to injuries. Hope he can play an effective role this season.

:text-+1: and not a walk on who had opportunities to play elsewhere but choose to walk on at ISU.

I am still a bit nervous about a comeback as Tulsa is within striking distance if our shots go cold.

ISU up 73-57 with 7 minutes

MY has to watch his fouls. We need him on the floor more. Boise State went right after him and with him out we could not complete. As to the Announcers, the football announcers are much better.

Is it me or does it seem that the ref with the worst view/behind the play at the rim keep calling the fouls on us..
