I've been to a bunch of games at Ryan Field, and I appreciated the classic and graceful architecture of the current stadium. But amenities were scarce, and access was difficult for older fans. They were greatly limited in their planning by the difficult neighbors around the stadium. I admit that game days would impact the neighborhood, but with a 96 year old stadium, no one bought their houses without knowing it was there. They needed to stay within the same footprint, so no expansion around the existing structure would be accepted.
