Remaining teams by conference:

MVFC
#1 South Dakota St.
#3 South Dakota
North Dakota St.

Big Sky
#2 Montana
#4 Idaho

CAA
#5 UAlbany
#8 Villanova

SoCon
#7 Furman
Very likely to have 2 MVFC teams in the semifinals with USD and NDSU playing each other. SDSU has #8 Villanova. We might see an exclusively MVFC vs Big Sky semifinals.

should have been 4 MVFC in the elite 8, and just 1 Big Sky. Note, we had 3 of 5 road games, and should have won 4 of 5 if not for SIU boneheaded clock and timeout mgmt in regulation.

Eight seeded teams played at home in the 2nd round and only 1 lost. #6 seed Montana St. - Big Sky lost to North Dakota St. - MVFC.
3 of 5 MVFC teams played on road against those seeds .. went 1-2, but should have been 2-1. SIU coach completely blew it down the stretch. Took their sweet time when they could have gotten closer for FG. AGS went nuts over this ... made no sense.

SIU lost because of Special Teams (84 yd punt return and no blocking on the last FG attempt) more than anything else, terrible play calling leading to a Nothing after the 4Q interception, and horrendous play calling in OT. Teams that throw lateral, behind the line of scrimmage - get what they deserve. That should have been more Ground & Pound for the Saluki's. They got in trouble trying to throw.

Were they playing at Game Time Gym on the soccer field? WTF is that kicking back drop?!
It is an interesting dome. But yea, an ugly kicking backdrop for that end zone

I was watching the game and I believe they said it was because of lack of room in the end zone.

I thought it was because the had the rest of the facility rented out for a birthday party and need room for one of those cool bouncy moon walks .. so they had to close the divider for insurance purrposes. :sneaky:

Great game, woke up and stayed up, so followed stats online. Defenses seemed to have the edge. Both teams offenses rely heavily on their dual threat QBs. The Furman guy who threw that pass had a real rough day 16 of 47 for 188 yds, 3 sacks 1 TD and 1 pick. But Furman (SC team) was playing on the road and in 32 degree temps at game time. Furman defense stiffened up 2nd half to keep them in the game against a strong Montana offense .. so their defense looks legit. Montana is #2 seed and Furman was #7. So now paired with winner of #3 USD vs NDSU, who beat the #6 seed Mont St on road in OT.
