It was a foul. He shouldn't have been any where near to make that foul.

There are fouls on almost every play, just as there is a holding call on almost every NFL play. The refs normally swallow their whistles in the last few tenths of a game as they don't want to factor into the final score. I have watched tons of one possession games that came down to a missed shot at the end that easily would have been a foul 5-10 minutes earlier in the game. I remember our loss at Louisville a few years back. The Louisville foul on our last possession, clearly a foul but no call.

Happens all the time. The ref blew it.

If I remember correctly the player who got "fouled" admitted after the game that he slipped and wasn't bumped at all. I thought Mac was stupid to even be that close to him with a second left; just let him have that off balance shot from way out there. It was just an unfortunate sequence of events ...

From that point on it's been nothing but downhill for ISU basketball.

If it's a foul in the first minute of the game it should be a foul in the last minute of the game. Have the balls to make the call that needs to be made. Or don't be a ref.

I agree with you 100% but the both of us know that's not how it works.

To me it was more the player was out of control and looked like a runaway train that was beginning to derail on its own.

I seem to recall the UCF player saying, "coach said this is McIntosh's tendency, go hard along the sideline and draw contact"

C’mon, Birds...2-16 in conference (aka the “Muller fast-track-outta-here” plan).
You can do it, just dig deep now....

Sorry, Cali! It doesn’t sound like that would do it. I think we are stuck with Danny for 3 more year! Sad!

Three more years of this crap and the Valley will (rightly) force us to the SWAC. On the bright side, maybe (just maybe), we can do a little better and compete for a NCAA bid every 20 years instead of 22?

Who said the SWAC would have us?

Sorry, is there a conf lower than the SWAC?

whatabout the Ill/Wisky college conference or whatever it’s called. Play v IWU, North Park, etc. Look at the savings in travel expenses and who knows, we might win a few games.

I think IWU beats us. All they have to do is run 2 types of basic offenses (4 out 1 in, simple high low against our zone) and if they play zone on defense we won’t score. We are too undisciplined. I would be willing to bet they have better shooters than we have. Our athleticism means nothing when we stand around. I bet they are better coached.

One step closer. Good job boys...
Hey Cali, I see you have mighty strong opinions sir(..and I appreciate & respect them all). However, I have one very important question if I may....where are all you guys when these kids get recruited and sign with ISU? Who's actually warning these kids about the TRUE state of the program/ fan base / and DM? Do you think these kids should have been warned or given some REAL insight before signing?
