Are we really talking about firing a coach because we dont like the radio show?

Basketball reference takes the ISU information back to 1972. We have never had 3 seasons in a row under .500 overall. At 10-13 Dan is in danger of exactly that. We’ve had worse coaches but even they weren’t this bad 3 consecutive years.

Dan gets a cool $600k a year. Many private schools don’t make coaches salaries public but is it fair to guess that his $$$ is in the top 150 or so in D1?

There once was a player named Muller,
In whom our pride couldn't be fuller,
He took the head chair,
With Thursday became paired,
His coach's whistle? The AD should pull 'er. ☘️

Just trying to lighten the mood a bit, folks.
such a tough player but such a soft coach

Well I am expecting, with the firing of Muller, the attendance at Redbird Arena should be up by at least 2k per game in 2022-23. And the Redbird Scholarship donation should be up a couple Million with CaliRdBrd, TBS_20, JammminJammar, and all the other thousands that were boycotting Redbird basketball the last couple seasons.

Maybe we can get a solid Illinois recruit now. ISU should save money on all the trips to Florida for those 1 star recruits.

you joke, but I’ll tell you what, I will be motivated to donate with the right coaching hire and something tells me many more will. I’ll come back in a year to this post and we will see how it ages.

I can appreciate the sarcasm.
Not gonna lie, I was very clear on why I wasn’t donating whenever they called and, true to my word, I will donate again. Not gonna be millions though.
That said, when we start winning again, due to my tactics finally convincing ISU that onboarding a coach who brings wins, toughness, and strategy to the court, increases interest and profits, you can thank me.
In the meantime, feel free to continue throwing barbs at those that demand better than what Muller brought to the table. Seems to be your special gift.
