I have a feeling if this game gets played, the Birds get shut down and the game against Valpo comes in jeopardy. If that happens, I believe the league has dug their heels in to say there will be no rescheduling and it will count as a forfeit for the Birds.

No info, just a wife in the field who is very involved in this stuff and how it sheds/spreads/for how long. I have to think some of the Wisconsin guys are asymptotic but you test positive for however many days after having it. Plus, coming back from the holidays where they spent time with extended families and whatnot. Hopefully they'll be in the clear but it feels like a couple week break is coming. I hope I'm wrong.

Kansas and I know another school are only testing the unvaccinated players. The vaccinated and asymptomatic players are not getting tested at all, they are only getting tested if they show symptoms. I guess in the next week we may find out where ISU stands on this.

Valpo says game vs ISU is still on as of now. If they can't play, ISU will be 2-0 in conference unless the Valley does the smart thing and changes their minds on forfeits.

Sounds like Valpo does not have COVID, it's the other team so should be good as of now.

Wisconsin women's game vs. Purdue scheduled for Thursday 12/30 called off due to Covid. I've heard nothing about the men's game circulating in the Madison air. Yet.

All these cancellations equate to possibly our best chance since ‘95 to make the NCAA.
