You realize this Indy St roster was largely his guys right?

Yep, the same guys that also got absolutely embarrassed by a bad MOST team in STL. Any way you look at it, the guy has absolutely nothing to support your insane claims that he’s this recruiting star. NOTHING. Sit down and be quiet and let the adults talk now.

So does this mean you will finally shut up?

Sure they got nothing better to do than sit in their senility.

Horne is going to drop 40 against power 5 schools I’m sure

Weren't you lecturing us regarding Tobacco Road - and that DJ was definitely outta here - and headed to a P5 - somewhere in the region of Tobacco Road back in NC - that was going to be recruiting him off of his year at Illinois State???? Do tell, Dr. Tobacco.

The same MoST team team YOU touted in preseason as run away winners of The Valley all the while claiming Dana looked like the second coming of Crum and was sure to be gone in a year or two. Oopsie.

Our transfers almost always improve wherever they land. It’s a shame, another year and another roster rebuild. Good luck Rey, appreciate you.

They do? Like off from the trajectory they showed here?
Upshaw, Ekey, Zeisloft, Blue, Lynch, Tree, Griffin off the top of my head. And there are others. Not all are stars or even starters but certainly contributors. Developing players is just one part of the negative equation. Ones that left and didn’t do much more shouldn’t have been recruited here in the first place. That group is a very long list. Ndiaye, Hein, Clarence, Clayton, Washington, Harvey, Hall, etc.

The key was off from their trajectory.

Zeke definitely blew up. That's a great example.

Ekey and Zeisloft never made a larger impact in the B1G than they would have at ISU.

Blue never played a minute for Muller. Jank put him at the end of the bench in 11-12.

Reggie Lynch was on his way to being dominate in the Valley.

Threloff has to be view in the lens of Reggie. His stats ballooned at NIU because he minutes ballooned. That wouldn't have happened at Illinois State in 13-14 and 15-16, because Reggie was a better player.

Roland Griffin would've been a stud. That one stinks for multiple reasons.

====

As far as the other list...

Ndiaye and Hein package deal didn't pay off on either end.

Clarance, had he stayed, would be a big part the program right now.

DJ Clayton played in every game in 16-17. He played 861 minutes that season, tied for 3rd. He wasn't great, but he played a significant role on a great team.

Washington, Harvey, Hall. Yup, yup, yup. The good part with all 3 is that they were out within a year. You've got players like Bruninga and Romine who used multiple years of scholarship with no or limited availability.

====

The biggest one you didn't mention, and the one I believe hurt the most, was the loss of Johnny Hill.

I think I’ve accepted the reality that we are going to be worse next year than this year. That is just sad.

You're either venting or trolling. Unless we lose one of Horne, Reeves, or Fisher, I have a hard time believing we'll be worse.

We may be bad, but I doubt we'll be worse.

We lost our top 2 scorers from last year (in MVC play). You better hope that Horne can score as the primary option.

Who were the top two in turnovers?

Can we get back on point here guys? Redbird basketball is at the threshold of hell as Clark griswold would say.

Big Rey! You will be missed!

Jamar, we are so close to greatness. We just need Dan Muller to get better recruits during a pandemic than he’s ever gotten before and suddenly figure out how to coach. It’s all coming together.

You don’t think Reeves and Horne were good recruits? You don’t think Fleming and Washington are good recruits?

I do not believe DJ Horne is as good or will be as good as Tarise Bryson.

My only hope is that he has a more productive senior season in a Redbird uniform.

I think they are good. I’m not picking on Horne or Reeves. I think it’s absurd to think that Horne is good enough to carry the team. Most on here are making him out to be the savior. It’s the insane expectations on here that drive me nuts.

I have no idea on Fleming or Washington. I know they didn’t have many top programs recruiting them so I find it hard to believe they come in right away and take over the MVC.

The issue is the roster is a disaster again. It’s year 9 under Muller and there is no direction. I know the recruiting landscape has changed, but we are hoping for a miracle late in the recruiting season to have a respectable team.

I find the word "miracle" interesting.

First off, it's a non-starter if someone starts yelling, "WE WON'T BE FIRST NEXT SEASON!"

I think the best case scenario is mid-pack and competitive in 2021 and top-tier in 2022 and 2023.

So what constitutes a miracle as in players that will put us on an upward trajectory?

Muller has recruited 2 NBA players, both in the spring recruiting period.

Knight (May 6), Lofton (April 18), DAP (April 17), Fayne (April 15) and Clayton (May 8, iffy being on this list) were all grabbed in the spring and played significant minutes immediately.

Washington moved from Mississippi to Georgia after his Junior year after committing to Illinois State. He was not highly recruited. But what he did was blow up enough his senior year to be named the Georgia-North Co-Player of the year AND was a Georgia Class 6A All-State First Team Selection. He was also one of eleven players in the State of Georgia to be nominated for McDonalds All-American.

Howard Fleming Jr, if I remember correctly, has had surgeries on both his shoulders. He missed at least the first half of this season, yet was still impressive enough to make second team All-State.

I think Reeves and Horne, surrounded by the right players, are capable of leading the Redbirds to a Conference League & Tournament Championship In both their Junior & Senior seasons. I think Fleming and Washington are both going to be better than Reeves and Horne, so the foundation is being laid.

So basically we won’t have a chance to go to the NCAA tournament until year 10 or 11 of Muller?

I say miracle because Muller had two elite recruiters back when those guys committed and the program was on the rise coming off Janko. Now we are in a spiral as a program. Plus, I have zero faith all of the players we have now or recruit finish at ISU.

We have to get an all-mvc 4 and 5. Fisher seems to be gone after next year (I believe his eligibility is done). So you have to hope one of our recruits coming in becomes all league or you have to get a transfer that is.

Say this is correct, are you really ok that we are laying the foundation is Dan Muller’s 9th season? Shouldn’t we have a foundation by now?

I know technically your whole NBA player thing is accurate, but I find it to be a complete joke that you actually keep saying it. Who would you rather have? Lofton /DAP or would you take an Osiris or Bryson? Think this is a clear answer, thus we can put that to bed.

What REALLY matters is what they did in an ISU uniform.

Lofton - Muller and his big ego, couldn't figure out how to coach him. Bobby Knight approach drove away his most talented player on the roster. A la the way he handled Tyler Brown in his first year.

DAP - Decent 2 year career. Never made first team MVC.

Yes - Cant wait to see what street ball talent Dan finds in the juco ranks this time around. These are not the players who we should be targeting. Sorry.
