Disappointed in Loyola's number sold. Also kinda shocked by SIU's low number compared to last year.

I could see SIU having a big crowd, but lower numbers of all-session tickets. It didn't help that the MVC upped the price of all-Session tickets. I never buy all-session tickets. It's cheaper and don't lose money if ISU loses the first day.

I'm guessing you will see bigger walk up numbers because of fans from ISU, BU, and SIU are waiting to see when they play and if they make it to Saturday.

What does not get counted in these numbers are the corporate seats. I know both ISU and SIU fans who go and are planning on going, but receive tickets from various corporate sponsorships. For example, I have neighbors who get tickets from a person who receives 8-10 tickets because the business he runs buys advertising. I am sure the school numbers would be higher if it were not for these type of arrangements.

If the BU number is correct at 275 - then they have eclipsed the 225 mark - is this an oversight by Oren?

It's a BU tradition to count phantom sales; maybe this applies to Arch Madness all-session passes, too. Or #TheMovement got off to a quick start in Valley play and Peoria folk got excited about not checking out of their hotel on Friday morning for once.

After tonight's results - the game vs Drake on Wednesday night will be for the #3 seed in the tournament - Loyola will be the 1 seed and SIU the 2 seed. BU will be the 6 seed - Mo State will be either a 4/5 seed - The Birds will be either a 3 or 4 and Drake will be the 3 seed if they win at Redbird Arena - otherwise they will be will Mo State in the 4/5 game.

I would prefer to win on Wednesday - be the 3 seed and play BU in the first round instead of a 4/5 match-up with Mo State. But, who knows, maybe the real outcomes will be different. I would much rather see the Birds play Loyola on Saturday and get a tired SIU team on Sunday - versus the other way around.

Does anyone think that the MVC may consider lowering all session prices a touch after the patheticness that is the ticket sales this year?

They just raised them $20 this year, which makes no sense.

It makes total sense. They have to try and get money back from Wichita leaving. At the same time, raising the cost could potentially turnoff some fans.

The biggest problem this year is the parity within the conference. Nobody, except Loyola, would be surprised if they lost their first game OR went to the finals on Sunday. But, that uncertainty retracts fans from buying all-session tickets. Nobody knows what to expect.

That and the massive amount of ticket deals the MVC offers.

If I wanted to take my family of four to all five sessions, I could for just about $400 total using the Purina four tickets, two popcorns, four pops coupon.

I’m sure a lot of people take advantage of these offers. I did it last year on Friday and Sunday.

I understand the re-coup part of it. I just don't like the optics of it all. Should have waited a year.

Loyola is locked into the 1 seed.

Bradley should be locked into the 5

valpo is the 10

We can finish as the 2 (with aces help), 3 or 4

If we beat Loyola and SIU loses at the ACES, we would be the 2 seed then, as our RPI would drop winning at #34 Loyola.

A loss to Loyola and it's the 4/5 for us with Bradley. Not counting on Valpo going into Des Moines and winning on senior day.

Looking like ISU will be the 4 seed unless we take down the Ramblers on Sat.

I don’t see Drake losing to Valpo at home.

That could mean ISU-Bradley in quarters at Arch.

Just keep Indiana St away from us. I’m more afraid of them than anybody.

Potential for a 4 way tie for 6th place at 7-11 record with mo state, Evansville, Indy state and UNI.

Wow. It looks like according to Hacksaw's latest chart that only Missouri State or Indy State can actually get the 6th seed due to tiebreakers. If Missouri State ended up the 7th seed would that be biggest underachievement of the preseason pick to win the conference?

In the journal star before yesterday’s game it quoted Lusk as saying that MSU and Bradley tied for 6/7 last year. Bradley lost no one and he had lost a lot. He was obviously trying to downplay the execution vs expectations game.

Good teams and programs don't hope to not play certain teams. Come on guys you have to beat whoever you are matched up with and chances are you will run into the team you don't "want to play" at some point so stop worrying about it!!!

Bad memories linger from late game two years ago. Lansing had his Trees pruned and ready to bear fruit; we laid an egg. Conversely, I could see a disinterested Lusk team hibernating its way through a 3-6 nightcap.

I agree Trey, you have to beat whoever is put in front of you, obviously. However, what team wouldn't want the easiest path to success? That's human nature.
