Last 2 years our Offense was 3rd best in the MVC. This year we were only .2 out of 2nd best (scoring offense). Over that time (last 2 years) we rated dead last in scoring defense.
It’s easy to have a top 2 offense when you have so many possessions because you can’t play a lick of defense…

I don't care about arguing over last year's stats. They are irrelevant now and probably half of that team will be gone next season!

Glad OSU lost yesterday so Coach Pedon can get moving on putting a staff together. The only coach I would expect him to retain
is Rob Johnson so there is a lot of work to be done!

Mel - What is the basis of that "2nd best offense and worst defense" reference? Is it just PPG or is it Points per possession or something else. I'm assuming there's a bazillion ways to measure. Just wondering which you're using.

Just scoring offense. Points per game. Same with defense. Points allowed per game.

Imo, our offense was fine. Especially when we had Sly. Our defense was brutal. We did block a lot of shots. But we just could g get a ton of stops.

The only part I’ll disagree with was this years team didn’t value the basketball at all. Way too many turnovers and many at key times.

Bobby Durkin (Glenbard West) is really good! Not committed yet. Not sure what his offers are.
