we gotta get back into Florida...10% of DIV-1 kids come from Florida, and 70% of the country's 4 and 5-star recruits come from a cluster of 10 states...but at the top of the list is Florida. NOW, if we are keeping ALL of Illinois' top recruits, then we are talkin'. Florida produces ~14% of the nation's elite FB players, Illinois...2.2% (#14 in the country).redbirddad10 said:Interesting pattern developing in our recruiting. Seems to be getting a lot of players from IN, MO, KS, and WI.. Texas and IL still are big markets for ISU also. But we seem to have lost our connections in the Pacific Northwest [Seattle] and FL??? We are starting to dominate central IL.. I know ISU has become the dominant FCS school in Chicago. Thinking this will be a big year for recruiting. Last year was a strange year, beat Northwestern, lose 4 games in a row, sneak into playoffs, lose round 1. But still made Playoffs and BEAT NORTHWESTERN! Bounce back like we did in 2014 from mixed 2013 and we solidify the impression we are the program to beat in IL. Love to see us getting our pick of the players out of BLO-NO. That always bugged me that we would lose any local kids. I know its more complicated than that but still like to see a recruit or two every year choosing to stay home even if they are walk ons.

Just getting around to Friday's news, Mueller was named 2nd team all-state by the Associated Press. Still hoping he sticks with us.
It's getting close to crunch time and we're down 1 recruiting coord. You're our Wisconsin rep so it's now up to you to close the deal with Mueller by any means necessary. Remember what goes on in the cabin stays in the cabin.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Dinga, a defensive end, was a first-team selection on defense on the Wisconsin State Journal/WisconsinPrepZone.com All-Area football team.
Dinga was a first-team choice as a defensive end on the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-state team and was an honorable-mention pick on The Associated Press all-state team.
