I saw Artis Gilmore in a Chicago after hours club called Zorine's one night. He Had a pair of disco shoes on that had clear 6" heels with goldfish in them. He was also wearing a tophat and tux.

He was 9'10"

That's him! Or Oscar Gamble.

Maybe Darnell Hillman.

Maybe this has already been talked about in a previous thread, but I was at the county fair last night and saw Matt Chastain and Taylor walking around. Taylor was in a Walking boot. Anyone know anything about what happened?

Precautionary for a possible stress fracture. He should be good to go within a week per my source. He will have a big year in my opinion. He would have been on the all-freshman team if it weren’t for the concussion.

A-Train was the Bulls 7th round pick in the 1971 NBA draft. Big fan as a kid.

I loved A-Train. never understood that trade to the Spurs for Corzine. ugh. Artis had about 6 strong years down in Texas and the Bulls didn't get a real center until Cartwright.

I agree that he could have been all-fresh last season if he hadn't been slowed by the concussion. The experience he gained early last season is huge. I've made the comparision before but I think he will be a similar type of player but better than Teddy Hawkins by his senior year. He should be a starter with Fisher in 19-20.

Checking the roster stats between last year and this year, Taylor went from 200 lbs to 220! So that should make a big difference. I doubt many of those new pounds are fat.

I think Taylor takes a big jump as well. He should get a lot of open looks from 3 this year. also after a year in the weight room his body will be better prepared for Valley play.

I just saw Taylor on campus waiting for a bus. He was wearing a boot again (or he never stopped wearing one from the beginning of August, etc). I hope by October that I'm not wishing King David was back. We need Taylor as one of our 'bigs'. I'm hoping it's just a precautionary thing. Anybody know if he's been practicing at all?

I don't like walking boots AT ALL. Takes the body and particular body member and puts it out of balance and creates more issues than cures.

Also, especially when I hear a kid has been in one for a month.

Somebody on here a few weeks back mentioned their experience with a walking boot and how much it suck'o'lad.

Also, I realize Taylor is now 220, but a post presence - offensively or defensively - is still out of position for him. But due to lack of low bodies he'll see time down there again.

Taylor has added about 15 lbs on his playing weight. He is also in the "Team Workout photo" posted in another thread do you have to think he's doing something.
