UNH got skewered on AGS for even getting an at large bid, then getting such an easy 1st round game. Their AD is Marty Scarano .. he took a beating for UNH getting selected over Delaware .. both 7-4, but Delaware played tougher schedule and won by larger margins.

UNH has made playoff 14 straight years, all with their AD on election committee .. many on AGS pointed to 3 years where they clearly did not deserve a bid, but believe Scarano carries way too much influence. Word is he may step down from selection committee.

SDSU pounding them mercilessly today might help make that happen.

but UNH did have 2 playoff wins, including taking out the #4 team, before losing to SDSU.

Doesn't change point of how they even got in over Delaware in their own conference. Then they got the 2nd easiest 1st round draw in CCSU (5-6, Massey #47), barely beat them 14-0, with CCSU stud QB out. Then yes, they beat a good UCA team before getting pounded by SDSU yesterday.

Rumor is UNH AD Scarano will resign from selection committee .. he took a public thrashing because it has happened before according to many CAA posters on AGS ... not a popular guy within CAA. The Delaware coach was fuming and called him out publicly. I think he is longest standing member of committee. But this time, he did it at the expense of his own conference.
