Well that went south fast
13-24 166 yards… Jefferson has this game you’re calling for a QB change. Waring had this game, you’re saying that’s QB1 material… it’s interesting.Waring is QB1 even if BJ is healthy. He just earned it.
I think he did say Peine but I believe it was Evan Day in for Zambrano. Peine may have come in for a play but Day played much more.Luedke said Peine
I didn't like the attempt to go for it on 4th down @ the SIU 5. Take the 3 pts and make it a 20-7 game. It was all ugly dogs after that failed attempt. The turnaround? Partly the defense got tired, but mostly it was just SIU relying on Baker to do his thing. Nic Baker forces you to play defense at a very high level and that's hard to sustain for 4 quarters.
It's not QB1 material at all. We technically may not have QB1 material on this roster. Play whoever wins. Give me QB4!13-24 166 yards… Jefferson has this game you’re calling for a QB change. Waring had this game, you’re saying that’s QB1 material… it’s interesting.
That Pussy just sent the Birds home with a big LTell that pussy Baker you can't expect protection from refs when youre trying for more yards.
Respectable. It's not QB1 material at all. We technically may not have QB1 material on this roster. Play whoever wins. Give me QB4!
Jackson really got after it and Shanon Reid had a monster - near perfect game. There was one play where Reid had Nic Baker in his grasp but Baker ducked free and threw a completion. It was that kind of day.Brandon Simon's replacement, Damien Jackson looked great today. 7 tackles, a QBH, and a blocked punt
4th & 1 if tight um did we not putA couple of things. No question the Birds surprised a lot of people for almost 3 quarters and I agree, that is showing improvement. Next, the 4th and 1 - that was the turning point of the game - no question about it. When you are big underdog - you cannot wakeup the favorite with a huge play - take the FG, especially when you are ahead by 10 points. Next, if you are going to go for it - why in the heck do we pack it in with a tight formation?? Spread it out for land's sake, no deep handoff, and with the Defense spread a little more - 1 yd should not be a problem as long you go forward somewhere between the guards.
Its call OC IN experience ! um unsure if anyone remembers but there were time where Drew Himmelman was put in the backfield to block/run. Why not put Tim McCloyn to run behind a lineman or TM / Lineman/muller ! When it was short yard for SIU look who they brought into the game there heavy artillery was in the backfield blocking !A couple of things. Shannon Reid had 15 tackles, 9 were solo .... that doesn't happen very often.Jackson really got after it and Shanon Reid had a monster - near perfect game. There was one play where Reid had Nic Baker in his grasp but Baker ducked free and threw a completion. It was that kind of day.
I also want to give props to WR Austin Nagel. We have bigger receivers and we have faster receivers but Nagel just seems to make plays. He's the best we have.
