Or maybe there was a good reason and the possible replacement opportunity could be better.

But as a fellow Sox fan, I’m sure you’re just salty because of LaRussa still.
Hopefully you are correct and he has something better planned.

As for LaRussa, I usually put the winning and losing on how the players play, more than on the coaching in professional sports. Not to say that sometimes a coach can’t affect an outcome of a game. There was going to be controversy regardless of whether it was LaRussa, Hinch, or Cora. Would like to know if Bouchy was ever in the conversation. My problem with the LaRussa’s hire is that I’m afraid it is going to affect bringing in top free agents.

Opening the season vs Ohio State. Yes, Quinn. The sky is always falling.

I'm just thrilled we are moving in the direction of playing. We were going to get drilled at Neb and will probably get pounded at osu, but at least it's bball. Season 9, your table is ready.

And there it is...

Heard Nebraska was jacking us around and we were getting the shaft schedule wise, so Dan moved on.
I feel sure some schools were wanting to cherry-pick their opposition, and other schools were simply getting leftovers. Not surprising in a MTE format that is neither bracket or round-robin. Four of the original eleven (Cleveland State, Colorado State, Illinois State, Oklahoma State) have since bolted.

TBS_20 will be disappointed; I did not see Ohio State in his list of probable ISU adversaries for '20-21.

This is nice, but until they tip... 3 or 4 Valley programs are currently in Covid shutdown mode
