Nice job Redbird222 for getting 4 of them and Woodland for getting Sherrod

1985
1985 NBA Draft Class included 5 Missouri Valley Players.
Without cheating, can anyone fill in any of the players
3rd overall pick from Creighton was.........Benoit Benjamin
4th overall pick from Wichita was............Xavier McDaniel
19th overall pick from Tulsa was..............Steve Harris
34th overall pick was from Wichita...........Aubrey Sherrod
44th overall pick was from Bradley.................Voisie Winters

1982 wasn't bad either
9th pick Cliff Levingston (Wichita)
15th pick David Thirdkill (Bradley)
20th pick Paul Pressey (Tulsa)
36th pick JJ Anderson
Lou and Ricky were drafted in the 5 and 6th rounds that year. The other players I remember from 85 being really good were Moore from Creighton and Williams from Indiana State. I thought Williams was a senior but I guess he was only a junior that year.

There was some talent in the conference back then for sure. If I remember right, only 53 teams made the tournament for at least 2 of the Donewald years. If so, I have no idea where they come up with 53. Then again, 68 teams doesn't make a lot of sense either.

Until someone goes to the NCAA Tournament 3 years in a row no one compares to Donewald.

The MVC was also incredibly tougher when Donewald and Jankovich were here.

Show me how the Valley was "incredibly" tougher--top to bottom--and I'm willing to grant you that argument. But just saying it isn't sufficient. Also, I was arguing the "Dan is in the 50's" comment, which isn't true to this point.
Don’t know about top to bottom but Tulsa, Creighton and Wichita were always tough

I don't disagree, but top to bottom matters when claiming the conference was significantly better.

Not that this is a big deal, but the league has been much better.

The 3 Donewald years they went the NCAA tourney here is the league average for RPI (add all the teams RPI and divide by number of teams) .
1983- 136 - 3 top 100 teams
1984- 107 - 4 top 100 teams
1985- 89 - 5 top 100 teams

3 year average 111 - 12 top 100 teams = average of 4 per year

Jankovich

2008 - 114 - 5 top 100 teams
2009 - 126 - 4 top 100 teams
2010 - 110 - 5 top 100 teams
2011 - 140 - 3 top 100 teams
2012 - 128 - 4 top 100 teams

5 year average 124 - 21 top 100 teams = 4.2 top 100 teams per year

Muller
2013 - 109 - 5 top 100 teams
2014 - 156 - 3 top 100 teams
2015 - 147 - 5 top 100 teams
2016 - 172 - 3 top 100 teams
2017 - 172 - 2 top 100 teams
2018 - 124 - 3 top 100 teams
2019 (as of today) - 170 - 2 top 100 teams

= 7 year average 150 - 23 top 100 teams = 3.2 top 100 teams per year

The league keeps getting worse and worse each year. The last 4 years gave to be one of the worst time periods for the league.
