Lou and Ricky were drafted in the 5 and 6th rounds that year. The other players I remember from 85 being really good were Moore from Creighton and Williams from Indiana State. I thought Williams was a senior but I guess he was only a junior that year.

There was some talent in the conference back then for sure. If I remember right, only 53 teams made the tournament for at least 2 of the Donewald years. If so, I have no idea where they come up with 53. Then again, 68 teams doesn't make a lot of sense either.

Until someone goes to the NCAA Tournament 3 years in a row no one compares to Donewald.

The MVC was also incredibly tougher when Donewald and Jankovich were here.

Show me how the Valley was "incredibly" tougher--top to bottom--and I'm willing to grant you that argument. But just saying it isn't sufficient. Also, I was arguing the "Dan is in the 50's" comment, which isn't true to this point.

The league keeps getting worse and worse each year. The last 4 years gave to be one of the worst time periods for the league.
