All of the new student athletes have a ceremony to march and carry a torch and get half of a medallion tonight 7:00 at Quads so this wouldn't be something to skip as Zach has not been involved in any recent activities.

Walk of Champions tonight Basketball Newcomers that participated Taylor,Matt,Boogie,Ellija, no Copeland he may have chosen not to attend. The whole staff was there and all other players.

I'm not an insider to the basketball program, but I've checked some things on my end and I'm now fearing he might not be playing this fall. I'm thinking something might of hit a snag. But we need some kind of official announcement.

I just did the student directory search and there is a Zach Copeland there. Maybe there is more than 1 directory. I'm guessing something is up too.

Copeland has been around the team and in team drills during workouts. I will say I have not been at all of them and have seen more open gyms than official practices.

It'd be nice for Benson to put a call in to Muller. But he'll probably just wait for a press release like the other media outlets in town.

However, it is a little strange he hasn't been at the community events (Move-In, Walk of Champions, etc.)

I do believe being admitted to school was not problem. Just being eligible to play and have a scholarship is the problem don't know The NCAA rules where he goes from now are will we save a scholarship and just give one. I would imagine he could work or maybe take out a loan for now

Vidette today has a article on Fayne listing Copeland as a part of the team this year!

The NCAA requires an athlete to graduate with 2.7 in core classes that's where he missed out from what IM hearing he is not on scholarship will have to pay his own way. So the question do we hold scholarship and have 1 or sign 2 players or give Chastain 1 and sign 1

If your hearing is correct does this mean not eligible for the fall semester or not eligible for the entire year 2017-18 basketball season?

I don't see why he wouldn't be able to play at semester break not being able to participate in the fall with the team might effect playing condition but why not. Hopefully he would save a year. I would guess HCDM would honor his scholarship when he is eligible
