Look at those teams though.. all will have chances for quality wins. UNI on the other hand is only going to rack up a bad loss or wins that mean nothing to the committee. They are only going to go one direction the rest of the way.

The valley will get Zero respect from the committee. they have to win in STL or it’ll be an ugly selection Sunday for the panthers.

2 of those 10 - ETSU & USU - have less Q1-2 opportunities (2) remaining than UNI (3).

If UNI loses any of their remaining games it will be a black mark on their resume. Indiana state, Evansville SIU and Drake. Real powerhouses on the national level!!!

UNI will get torn to shreds by the national media if they don’t take care of business in STL. As much as I hate the big ten, their 11th or 12th team will have a stronger resume

None of this matters. UNI will probably walk through Arch Madness anyway.

They aren't getting an at-large. Give it up

Lunardi this morning - after UNI’s loss to Loyola - has UNI ahead of TEN at-large teams.

Any bets for the next batch of posts? I’m guessing it’ll be another string of the “(10th-ranked) MVC is as bad as the SWAC” doozies.

You understand Lunardi does his bracket as on TODAY. There is no sort of prediction or prognostication to his bracket. UNI has nowhere to go but down. The others can beat the 6th ranked teams in their league and will add a big win to their resume.. meaning they’ll surpass UNI.

UNI will be relying solely on 1 early season win vs Colorado. They have no other quality wins. Remind you of the isu team with P Lee??

However I agree with Rico, I would be stunned if anyone else can beat UNI in STL

This is before any upsets or teams behind them in power conferences get big wins and jump ahead of them. There is no guarantee they win out. So, they will either have one or two more “bad losses” because every loss to a mvc team is a bad loss in the eyes of the ncaa.

The only thing that might save them is they actually have had success in the NCAA tournament

If they win out through the semi finals they'll probably move up to a 9 seed at 28-4. Even if they lose the finals I can't see them slipping from 9 past 11...definitely not past 11, 11 play in game, 12, and the 12 play in game. Win out until the finals and they have an at large waiting for them. If they should lose another though they have to win it all in St. Louis.

Do I believe UNI is deserving of a bid at this time? Yes. But as other posters have pointed out, numerous teams in other conferences have more opportunities to slap on more lipstick and make up for the big dance. Plus add the fact that there are only so many dance cards to fill. The freaking big ten is looking at 10 at large bids alone. No one on the selection committee is going to champion the need to have UNI included over a big ten team. Won’t happen.

More often than not, we end St. Pairings Day screaming and swearing about the unfairness of the process. Yea, it sucks.

IMO, MVC is a 1 bid league. It really doesn’t matter where Lunardi has UNI now. He’s slotting them assuming they win Arch Madness. If UNI stumbles in St. Louis, they’ll be on the wrong side of the bubble, like any team with a loss to ISU on their resume should be.

Any at large discussion just 🤮 at Indy St. There is ONE brass ring for the valley and who ever wins on Sunday in the Lou gets a 12-13 seed. Oh well, it is what it is.

Yep, at large is toast. Teams like Arizona State beat Oregon tonight. This is just one example of many teams that will surpass UNI

Now we will see how this top 12 conference is viewed. Not holding out a lot of hope..... my guess is whoever gets into tourney from valley the best seed is maybe a 14 from Bradley. MAYBE

UNI at large (dont see it happening since NET dropped from 36 to 47 ) would be higher... 11 or 12

Bradley and MSU could be 13 or 14 depending on conference champions winner of mid majors conferences

Valpo and Drake would be 14 or 15 depending some same results since their net is closer to 150.

Lunardi pegged Bradley as a 14. Missouri state entering the dance at 18-16 would be interesting s. I’d expect that to earn a 15. They also finished 6th in a bad conference

I laugh at all the mid-majors get screwed by the committee talk. The reason UNI won’t get in is the MVC is awful. Look at this. It’s pathetic.
