Thought it was a good game. I think Childs was playing for his future elsewhere. I think I have heard that he and Wardle don't see eye to eye. How about Izzo having to be retrained from his one player multiple times? Yikes that looks bad when a coach is doing that.

That's Izzo...hes incredibly intense, and gets into it with his players regularly. I've seen it happen at least a dozen times of the years. His guys love him though, and they are almost always good afterwards.

IMO, Izzo is the greatest coach of all time. That and he still plays mid majors...often on their court. He’s the anti-Boeheim.
I’d be proud to have Izzo scream at my son.

Muller is not getting anywhere close to same level kids as Murray St. and Belmont. For his sake, he better hope they don't join the Valley.

That Williams kid on Murray St. is REALLY good. Freshman. He would be the best player on ISU right now. Completely under control. Really good basketball instincts. Excellent rebounder and defender.

What is becoming more clear to me watching these mid-majors compete and how they play is that Muller is not recruiting anywhere close to that level. Probably the #1 reason for that is that he doesn't have the relationships these other coaches have and he can't relate to these kids. And if he doesn't have the relationships and he can't relate, then he's not going to win head-to-head in these recruiting battles.

So unbecoming how petty so many on this board are. Congrats to Bradley. They did what we may never do...hang with a powerhouse program in the NCAA.

Muller didn’t get blown out by Louisville, Maryland, and Kentucky. Our biggest win in the last 21 years is an Arch Madness semifinal game. Someday we will be good again.

By “good” do you mean 19-14? ‘Cause that seems to pass around here as a great season.

Then we have failed the last two seasons.

Oh hell the Valley doesn’t get any respect and won’t until we have some success against the big boys. Just couldn’t bring myself to root for Bradley. That’s just the history of the rivalry for me including some bad experiences in Peoria. Having said that I loved Dick Versace He was good for the Valley! Talked to him personally a couple of times. Was a really good guy. He made the Valley fun and also a presence on the national stage! 🤪🥴🤩😱

I hate BU, but I think they made the Valley look better than it really was.

i agree, unfortunately izzo made all the headlines for nearly blowing a gasket.

i feel like if bradley would have even been a 14 seed they could have won a game. but the down year for the valley resulted in a 15 seed and thats never a good draw.

I hate Bradley too but the way they hung in the game yesterday reminded me of when Rickey Jackson and Jarrod Coleman played their final game against Michigan (and Rumeal Robinson) in the NCAA tournament. We almost had Michigan in that game.

Why can't we just get one player like that every now and then????

Have to admit Bradley looked good yesterday. They outplayed MSU for a good portion of that game. I don't think anybody would say BU were extremely talented, but they kept it close by playing a good half court defense. We should've been to able to play that kind of defense this year. We had the talent to do so, but we didn't even come close. So I hope they do focus on defense more this summer. If we actually have an assistant coach leaving this year then go out and find a defensive coordinator like they do in football. And go out and find another Tony W!

What's the over under on how long into AT&T at the Half before he rips his jacket off and storms back and forth across the set?

Interesting perspective from Mark Cuban:

Can't remember which player it was, but when Illinois State was leading Louisville by about 9 points, Pitino ripped into him big time. I think the player ended up with twenty-some points. I think if Pitino had not ripped into that player and got his attention, Louisville would have lost that game (should have lost anyway: horible calls on the Jackie offensive foul on the dunk & on the Ekey flagrant foul). If Izzo would not have ripped into his player yesterday, Michigan may have lost that game.

What I can't understand is why it works for other coaches, but does not seem to work for Dan.
