Well, honestly, he has no reason to visit ISU. There's nothing a visit can show him that he hasn't already seen . . . unless he needs that cookie.
...yea there might be a little pressure although the players likely honor the SIU visit out of respect for Mike. Seriously though if papa Mike is pushing a player towards SIU that likely means he believes that player is going to be a good recruit for a mid-major program....aka that is a good endorsement of Jaheem by someone that knows basketball and also personally knows, as well as anyone at this point in time, Jaheem. Mike is a big on character, and not just talent, so that is another plus in this situation.I think every kid that plays for the Illinois Wolves (the Mullins boys daddy) and are in this mid major recruiting level are required to visit SIU. Otherwise they have to pay full price to play travel basketball.
Hopefully is more physical than he was a few years ago. He got pushed around in the paint by much smaller players. My Q is Webber the guy we r really targeting for this scholarship slot??
He’s a Large massive dude who dunks a lot on film; I personally wonder if he’s the guy and if he has the lateral movement we need?? Large is good but……
Recruiting BN is great……..sells a few tics but does this guy really have what Birds need to move it up a notch in MVC??
Well that bums me out but I hope it means pedon wants another big man moreWright State
Just goes to show no one knows what a kid is going to do. Just a month ago Wright St wasn't even listed as one of his choices.Wright State
Maybe Pedon directed him there?Just goes to show no one knows what a kid is going to do. Just a month ago Wright St wasn't even listed as one of his choices.
If that is a shot at Chase, then you aren't paying attention to ISU basketball anyway.Heard he is looking for another 350 lb plus kid. Jaheem lost too much weight over the summer for ISU is the impression I get.
Found his handlers. What an insane and stupid post. Best of luck to the kid, but ISU had multiple offers out on 24 kids. They got who they wanted and moved on. Deal with it.I tell you what, Pedon and the staff are buddies with the Wolves. When he left the Wolves they declared him not good enough for ISU. Huge loss for ISU, especially after seeing Jaheem los 25 lbs and playing the best ball of his life.
A bottom 50 team in the country such as ISU should not be recruiting based on AAU affiliation. Jaheem as well as Hank Alvey could get minutes at ISU now. Pedon has a long way to go ISU fans.
Wright State and coach Nagy are a far better program than ISU. Been to the tournament twice in the past 3 years. They have been recruiting Jaheem since he was playing 16u and have always been in the mix.
I have sat in Pedons office with him and his staff and trust me, these guys got a long way to go as far as telling valuation. Telling a top 250 player in the nation and top 5 player in the state that they are not good enough for your school is how you continue to be bottom feeders in the Valle and college basketball as a whole!
Good luck Birds.
So you're taking a shot at Walker with this post obviously? Ridiculous.Heard he is looking for another 350 lb plus kid. Jaheem lost too much weight over the summer for ISU is the impression I get.
Look at VerbalCommitsSuch as….
Is this a MidPro Academy post? Trying to understand the AAU connection. Are you saying Pedon would rather pull from the Wolves than MidPro? Strange thought considering Ty Pence's AAU career.I tell you what, Pedon and the staff are buddies with the Wolves. When he left the Wolves they declared him not good enough for ISU. Huge loss for ISU, especially after seeing Jaheem los 25 lbs and playing the best ball of his life.
