we had different players when yak was here doesn't take a genious. Being a good assistant coach doesn't mean you'll be a good head coach Tom Richardson. Careful what you ask for. Unless you're at practice, in the locker room, in meetings, at the yoga studio.

Exactly!!! We had two starting guards who were phenomenal defenders!

and now we don't. another problem with dan. doesn't know how to replace players. when you try to prove your point you just keep highlighting other weaknesses. its like wack-a-mole

I'm sure this s Yaks UCLA and Jblahblahbirds uncle is really a nice guy but unless your going to bring in a proven head coach, and even then, it's a crap shoot.

Ready made team just waiting for eligibility. Add the returnees .... I think they’ll be just as good as these previous 2 “cupboard full” years.

We know what we have with these guys from their 2017 - 18 Season, and now they've had a year to learn the system.

Hillsman -- 9.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.3 apg
Fisher -- 10.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg (as a RS Frosh)
Boyd -- 13.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg (as a true Frosh)

Ndiaye is supposed to be high talent and has had a year of practice with the system.

I'm not saying we're going to win the Valley, but I will say the cupboard isn't bare.

:text-+1:
I agree. I’m optimistic about this group.

Don’t believe at 6/3 I am ready to give up on the year. So for me wondering about next year is pointless. We are short a big. Not saying bruiniga is a savior but he will stretch defenses and is probably the second best pure shooter on the team. Jefferson has been a pleasant surprise. I think Copeland will continue to improve and he does a decent job at the point. Has to learn to pick better shots AND has to finish better. He gets to the rack but hasn’t adjusted to the size that greets him there. We are one sprained ankle and one boot from being pretty good. IMO. OPINION.

Talent and buy in need to be considered. Maybe Yak was just right place at the right time.

This isn’t accurate. We replace around 6 guys a season. Granted, that’s because we lose half our team every year, but they are replaced.

I’m not over the top optimistic. I just don’t see a drop off from the average Muller type season. Some proven D1 double figure scorers, and an intriguing prospect in Ndiaye. We could look decent.

If it is Fisher it might be worth it

1. He was a redshirt freshman at San Jose so under complete 4 in 5 years he would only have 2 years left after this year. It is not a waited year because it used sitting on the bench. The assumption here is you are not granted a 6th year.
2. He would help fill a desperate need .... rebounding And another big.

If he wants it Fisher might be able to get a 3rd year with us as his "redshirt" year was due to an ACL tear before the season.

If he plays this year, he would then have two years left, totaling 3 years with us.

Yes, if he plays this year that would take away his ability to get a third year. Though he would likely get half a year at this point this year with his injury.

Boyd and Fisher along with Ndiaye and Idowu are going to be a power

So did dan bring them in? Or no?

He did. Hopefully, he learns to coach them unlike this group (of course I credit that partly to Milik because nobody seems to be coachable and they see him get away with it based purely upon talent). That's why I think it was Yak because they fell off with the new guys after he left. Maybe we'll get lucky and Yak will coach these guys, too ;) That's my dream at least.
