I have to disagree a bit. It’s true that Administration will look seriously at you and nod their head. But are they ‘listening’? I don’t think so. They know the mens basketball program is a shambles; but to start fixing it takes courage. That’s something bureaucrats don’t have. The athletic programs just aren’t that important to them.
If true, that’s extremely shortsighted. Look no further than the Saban-effect at ‘Bama. That school went from a laughingstock (academically) to a destination school fir high level HS students all over the country.

Posted about this in recruiting forum but I read this article and shines a light on the sad state of isu hoops. Would like your thoughts from a muller/ overall program perspective.

1 - kid from NCHS, yet Liberty recruited him earlier and more heavily.
2- he calls out winning as a key motivating factor in his choice. Thanks muller!
3- his mom a former isu athlete, still can’t reel him in.

Doesn’t this recruitment shine a light on the dumpster fire we know as isu basketball. Anyone else even more highly alarmed than before?

nvm we will sign some unknown kids from Georgia who can jump high to save the program.

His mom didn't just play at ISU, she is in the hall of fame.

Kid wants to get away from home. Hope it works out for him. Word of advice...don't go boating with Jerry Falwell, Jr.😏
Kid wants to go away to college? No way. No kid wants to go away to school. Home is where the heart is. Thanks, Muller.

More like the kid doesn’t want to play for a loser, let’s be honest. If isu was dancing 3 years in a row, different story
Timmy, you just don't understand. JJS is never (ever) wrong! I can almost envision him stomping his foot while typing it!!

Great analysis. You could give thoughts on the actual topic instead of making fun of a poster. If anyone complains RBF is crap these days, it may be because posters would rather joke about others rather than discuss the actual b-ball program. I know the Kool aid crew would rather not discuss it since it’s at rock bottom but this type of post is pretty pointless. Would rather have you at least disagree with a point I made. But I’m sure you’ll do that now since you’ve been called out. Will hang up and listen….

What does your comments on the kid going else where have anything to do with the name of this thread? I kinda was hoping this thread would continue it's slow death and fade away.

The guy who throws out the term "Kool-Aid Crew" in seemingly every other post is now calling out the labeling of posters. CLASSIC!

JJS, that is your go-to move.

I think you missed the point 86 was making that "JJS was calling out another poster for labeling, when JJS labels other posters 'Kool Aid Crew' regularly."

So does anyone actually know why the kid chose Liberty? I know, it's easier to surmise. JJS might be spot on. Or might not.
The one place we never go around here is education. Or maybe, in this case, it's more spiritual. Or maybe he just wants to get the hell out and be on his own.

My comments speak to my opinion that our head coach is being outworked on the recruiting trial, and his on the court results contribute to it. Thus, his job should be in jeopardy.

I was simply asking for your opinion on a hometown kid not even really giving ISU serious consideration based on a number of factors I pointed out, however you still have not addressed my actual comments but prefer to argue like an 8th grader.

Did you read the article? It’s fairly clearly stated he chose Liberty due to the fact their head coach built a really strong relationship with him from the start and he likes the winning culture at Liberty.

I don't know if it's related to spirituality or not, but liberty has spent truly big money on football and basketball in the past decade or so, and it's showing. They hired the football coach who won big at mississippi but was shown the door because the hammer was about to come down. Freeze? I think they only lost one game last year. The basketball team went 23-6 and lost 69-60 to Okie St in the 1st round. They have unlimited funds.
