It is not time...it is way, way, way, way past time! Modern Football, what a concept in 2023. Well, I guess Coach Spack is not quite as stubborn as I thought he was.

Very sorry to hear about Larry Ross. I am a big fan of offensive line play and I was looking for him the entire game to see him plan. Whatever the injury is, best wishes for a quick recovery. All the best to you as you move ahead in life, young man. You sound as if you have your head squarely on your shoulders.

Stat of the game offensively .. QB Annexstad played just 3 qtrs. During that time, the offense average right about 10 yds per play.

Meant to post the drive chart. Q1-Q3 with Annexstad and starters ... 8 drives, 45 plays for 422 total yards = 9.38 yds/play. Avg TOP per drive just 1:45

Only wondering why we didn't run a little more and chew up more clock in a game like this. Hope OC Peterson did this knowing we would also dominate in run game. So maybe he wanted to tune up his pass game for WIU/EIU on the road ? Though a completed pass keeps clock running same as a run, we did a lot more hurry up too.

This is just so UnSpack-like ... which is frankly what Ive been harping on and hoping for these last 5 years. We'll see how things go in a tight game, where Spack usually gets way more conservative .. but so far, I like what I see in terms of leaning more on pass game ... even if it was an easy game.

We're excited to watch our favorite local college QB, Zack Annexstad, throw some touchdown passes and get some wins!
Check out Zack and his team this fall in action or catch him driving around the area in this sweet new Wagoneer he got from The Heller Stores. Heller Ford in El Paso and Heller Motors in Pontiac. His favorite place to shop for vehicles!

Dang! I wish NIL had been around when I was that age. I could have gotten myself a sweet used Yugo matchbox car . . . and maybe a couple pieces of track.

Love Annexstad, very glad he is our QB, and don't blame him at all for taking advantage. But man, I hate this sh-t.

Now let's go kick some WIU butt ... we let them play with us last year in a meaningless season finale. Granted, we had no Zack or Cole.

But we need to send a clear strong message to the MVFC and FCS .. THIS IS NOT LAST YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will put teams like this away this year..

p.s. no hate for Lawson or WIU .. nothing but respect for how long their football program competed well and endured with a lot less resources.

Like some of you, I don't like where college football has gone but these are the rules so the players should take advantage of them. I don't think we can call college football amateur any longer. It is professional in today's era. So be it, but I feel bad for athletes of the past who lost eligibility for some minor benefit they took. Those were the rules back then and they had to abide by them but when you see an athlete today getting a new car every month in the open...well I kind of feel bad for someone who got in a firestorm over a free tattoo back in the day. It is what it is.

Pryor, 4 other Buckeyes must sit out 5 games

The Wagoneer I drove when I was at ISU didn't look at all like this. It was a yellow 68. The back seat did fold down which as I recall was a handy feature!

Isn't that the paradoxical and ridiculous truth. Steve Alford got suspended for 1 game (against Kentucky) by posing for a calendar in a sport coat (GASP!)...where all the proceeds benefitted a charity!

When Timmy first joined the board he requested the screen name Badass Wagoneer. Sadly, it was rejected by Brian's Internal Redbird Directorate Supervising Humorless Ingracious Tribe.

My old Galaxie dropped dead in about 1978. The Wagoneer that followed was anything but badass. I 55 was always an adventure.

hmmm .. Dayton is only up by 12 over D-II Central St .... 36-24 with with 3 mins left in Q3 still. And Central St is getting nothing on the ground, but doin well thru thru the air 22 of 39 for 193 yards. I guess we'll see how far along our pass game is shortly.
