You'd have to think so. I assume Kyle joining the staff would almost come with a caveat that he bring AJ along. Plus, AJ was getting some NBA buzz and will need to show that he can do it against "higher level" of competition. B12 basketball is pretty legit.

It'd really be tough to be a UNI fan if it happens. Think about it. Had Doug McDermott in the bag...lost him to his dad at Creighton. Missing in the same way on two All-Americans is a tough pill to swallow.

With 2 hip surgeries, AJ will have to prove he can play in the Valley. ie Andy Murray in tennis ...still trying to figure his ceiling after hip surgery about 1.5 years out.

According to the Des Moines Register, AJ "is seen as likely" to remain with the Panthers. Seems like only speculation though

Left two teams early in the season in consecutive years. I certainly hope McNeese State did their homework before offering. It’s not like he’s Zach Lofton talented and worth the risk.

So we have finally hit the point where accepting an athletic scholarship and signing the document means nothing, right? Because there is no penalty for anyone who just decides to bail. What stops a kid from playing 4 years and 4 different schools?

The NCAA needs to fix this shit and fast. 750 D1 transfers is the wild west and officially makes the mid majors essentially a feeder system for power 6 conferences.

Just to get an idea of where some of the guys transferring out might be headed...

Sy is getting interest from Montana State, Sam Houston St, Lincoln (where Illijah Donnelly and Christian Romine ended up), Quincy, William Penn, Minnesota State, Bemidji State, UW-Milwaukee, and Texas A&M-Texarkana.

Dedric is getting interest from Grambling State, Coppin State, UNC-Greensborough, New Mexico State, Southern Indiana and a couple other D2s.

Since their careers seems to be on an identical trajectory, I'm penciling in Abdo to transfer to Southern Utah.

Seems recruiting has become a complete crapshoot. If they're really good, they move on. If they really bad, you get them to move on. If there good but not great, they stay and try to improve their transfer stock. If they're middling, they stay or they move on.

Significant news for the Panthers. Was a starter who averaged 11/5.7. Rumors saying if Kyle Green gets on the staff at Iowa State, AJ is going with him.
