So, why did we waste the scholarship? You can’t continue to plug 2-4 guys that were never meant to be on your team and continually replacing them year after year. That’s why we are where we are.

I never said he was never meant to be on the team, I said he was never meant to be a center. He is a stretch 4 or a tall wing, not unlike John Wilkins or former teammate Sissoko.

I think he'd have been a better fit for the team if our offense wasn't designed to pull 4 guys out as far as is possible, and strand him outside the arc with no help.

Abdou’s skillset is not one of a traditional 5, but a stretch four. Out of necessity, the Birds had to play him as Duce’s primary back up when it should’ve been more like how Fayne and Hawkins played together. Hell, he was a 6’10 or whatever PG in high school.

I’m not too surprised with this one. They are being very active with D1 transfer 4s and 5s.

Actually, I don’t think he was all that great of a shot blocker. Only 33 for the year. Less than 1.5/game seems awfully light for a shot blocker. Yeah he had some that looked good, but he had way too many swings and misses.

Not great, but good enough for second in the MVC. So, pretty good.

WSU, Cuse, Ole Miss, Boston College, BYU all offered him. He came here. MM was probably the highest rated player Muller has ever pulled in out of high school.

It's looking like the NCAA is going to allow a one-time transfer with immediate eligibility. That said, Dedric wouldn't have to sit out regardless.

So it seems he is more of the traditional grad xfer. But with everyone getting an extra year, he'll have two years to play as opposed to one.

Boyd leaving is good for both parties. He didn’t seem to buy into that instant offense off the bench and couldn’t play defense. Someone will let him come in and play the minutes he wants.
