There have been some comments elsewhere about Fargodome crowd noise rattling our young QB. Spack has commented a few times about Jefferson’s calm demeanor.

Sometimes it’s called ice in your veins. Other times players that excel in critical moments. Whatever you call it, we’ll see whether Jefferson has it in a couple days. I think we’re gonna be pleased with what we see

4th mentioned on AGS or B’ville how he recovered from a rocky start @ UCA. Can’t have a recurrence of that

Sounds like someone don't like nothing with "North" or "Northern" in the name. ;)

There are worse places than Fargo. Lot's of brew pubs to occupy your time. Not sure what else you're looking for? Cultural activities?

Well we have brew pubs here as well, so not going to drive or fly that far for brew pubs ha

I do a lot of sports trips, always find other things to check out...

Redbirds fly high and Bison snort it but however you get your kicks it should be a great game tomorrow and a huge rush. Let's do it.

I have tempered high hopes. There were a few games for the Bizen where it was close to the end, or near the end, and they pulled away. Hopefully this time we'll get them.

Will be in Whitewater tomorrow for the DIII semi-finals, St. John's vs. UW-Whitewater. Won't be easy, I don't think, but there's a chance for the Johnnies to get to the Stagg Bowl. We'll be monitoring the Birds on the "hand held device"!!

The Redbirds are playing with house money. Hopefully they go into this game loose. Also, hopefully they have some secret sauce in the playbook for Jefferson.
Shock the world, baby!

Play as hard as possible for 60 minutes. Play to win.

Take the same mentality to Fargo that we took to Eastern Washington in 2014. Spack and Co. went out west to whip their ass on that red field and that's exactly what we did. Carry the same chip on your should to Fargo and see what happens.

Our defense is coming to play.

If our O-line has a great game, I think Jefferson is going to have a great game as will Robinson and the the receiving corps.

Can our O-line come through?

I can see Jefferson going either direction but I do think he will be a pleasant surprise because his confidence and familiarity is growing, and they know so little about him. He just has to stay within himself and not try to do too much ..... and slide sooner !!!!!!

I love Jefferson's upside and strangely feel like we have a better chance with him under center than we ever would have had with Davis.

Canada is 2 hours away, maybe that's the International thingy.

Friday night before a 11am game might mean a quiet downtown tonight.
Blackjack at most bars and slot machines that act like pulltab machines.
Northern has naked ladies.
Anyplace downtown has great food... Old Broadway/FT Knox/Sports bar are all within 50 feet of each other, there will be people at those late tonight.

BWW's North is right by Tailgating, that'd be a good spot to check out for happy hour 2nite

I think the keys to any Redbird win would be:

Red Zone Defense. The best performances by the Redbird D this year have feature enemy trips in the red zone that got pushed back out. And their FG kicker ain't the best. Demoralizing to a team to visit red zone and come away empty.

Big Plays. We're gonna need a couple. No one in complete possession of their faculties will be shocked if JR rips off one or two. If we can get one or two from Jefferson, then our chances go up. I was impressed with his arm strength on the few long throws that he's made this year. He's got nice touch on the ball too.

Turnovers. Gotta play smart. TOs killed us last time.

O-Line. Seems the brown cows aren't the strongest up the middle. I recall the A gap working pretty well for us early in the first game while we were still running the ball.

CAA Officials. If karma counts for anything these guys have a negative balance with us. Time for 'em to settle up.

If we can protect him, and move some people a little bit, I think he'll make good decisions. But you're right, it could go either direction - and truth be told, he has no business playing good, considering how inexperienced he is, the opponent, the environment, stakes, etc. Still, I think it's our O-line that we have to worry about.

I predict we will look better than UNI did tonight. Couple bad calls, but hard to win with zero offense.

Agreed .. we need to find that softness up the middle a few times to keep them honest. Their back 7 play fast and cover well. So we need to show some power up the middle to be sure play action can help free up receivers and tight ends.

I also really like how weve been targeting our TEs more recently despite how little we throw. All out 2 TE blocking schemes in our run game should free them up once in a while to release down field over the middle.
