I'm hoping for another 2 point win so we can get another fire DM post created.

We could win by 80 and there would still be a fire Dan Muller page. When he moves up in a couple of years the same fire Muller posters will be complaining how he just used Illinois State as a steppingstone.

He has a long way to go to move up! If you think about he is losing Yarborough, FAyne, Evans and Tinsley after this season! He should be here for at least 3-5 more years! Unless he can recruit that can’t miss prospect!

Muller will tell us the 5 he has sitting out this year are better than what he’s losing.

I would've expected a better performance tonight... this team is just bi polar. No hustle and a lack of heart. I just pray to God this is "a look ahead" mentality to BYU!

Played 36 hours after getting back from the Caymans. Pretty much what I expected. BYU on Wednesday will tell us where this team is

Family attended the game, had a great time considering the team slept walked through the game. Kids had a blast.

Coach admitted on the post game show the team was drained from 3 games, long flight, and then quick turnaround. Said they're much more coachable recently and hes seeing it on the defensive end.

Now if they'll just come out on fire and not need coached up mid-game that would be great!

I loved the lineup with Rey playing the 5 and Phil playing the 4. If they can perfect it...it could be dangerous.

I like it too, especially with Key and Jefferson around the 3pt line to kick out to. Defensively though we'd have trouble because neither Phil nor Rey can guard the wing. That said, I say play it more.


Couple of other notes from the game:

-We looked more active defensively in the second half than we have most of the year. I think this being a D2 team helped, but I'd like to see us this active, and with more ball pressure in every game.

-Offensively we didn't play smart, if we do that against an average or better D1 team, they will feast on us. If we can't be a good defensive team, then we need to play smart with the ball and take good shots.

-I loved the way Rey looked today, and I think this will be a confidence game for him. He seems to be getting more and more comfortable offensively and defensively.

-I also loved Jefferson adding the dribble drive to his game. He passes well when he goes to the bucket, and takes it strong. He could easily become the 6th man of the year in the Valley.

-Key looked much more comfortable today, and I loved the 6-1 assist to turnover ratio. Him getting back into it will be huge for us.

It makes me laugh when people think Rey can play the 5 and we will be competitive. Rey will be good but if he is playing a lot of minutes this year it is the same as getting excited about Gassman.

1. Rey and Gassman are on two completely different levels. Rey playing more minutes is good, because he gets more experience, and the more experience he gets the better he will be.

2. Rey will get minutes this year, especially when Phil gets into foul trouble.

3. Rey will be a solid 5. He's got good hands, is strong, and is developing more and more touch as he plays. He's still just a frosh so he will be far from perfect, but he will be solid.

That’s pretty generous! I would say 500 in the upper bowl at max! In the lower bowl...hard to believe more than 2000!

What is it you don’t like about Rey or think that he’s missing that makes you think this?

I wonder about the thought process on some of the passes. It is not just one guy, but several. They have to improve on that. We have a long ways to go, but at least we are playing more like a team.

Games like today, I wish they would announce that anyone in the upper bowl(especially families) could go sit in the empty seats behind the basket(in the student section). Most students were still gone. It would look better, It would be louder. It would be an easy way to try to get families or new fans keep coming back.
