I love it!I would love a certain Gonzaga assistant that played for a National Championship and also has a dad that we may know.

Unless he has ISU ties, he'll never pass the smell testInteresting suggestion. Not sure Rob's resume would impress all the people he would need to impress, but he's sure paid his dues, been around some, and learned from one of the best, Bo Ryan. His record at Milwaukee was pretty decent, and his dismissal was questionable. I'd be inclined to take him.
Roger Power Jr would be a great choice. After negotiating a buyout, Dan could take the Porter Moser route and replace Roger Powell Jr at Gonzaga and get some additional coaching skills from Mark Few. Everyone wins!I would love a certain Gonzaga assistant that played for a National Championship and also has a dad that we may know.
He'd probably be able to land the Birds a game against em. Not that the program is anywhere near ready to compete with Illannoy. I don't really care where the next coach played*, just make the team better.I'll scream just as loud if we get a former Illini player as a coach.
Would be perfectly fine with Powell as a candidate. Great player, dad was an ISU alum and learning under one of the top coaches in the country. I bet Powell isn't allergic to Chicago like this current staff seems to be.I'll scream just as loud if we get a former Illini player as a coach.
heard he's close to getting fired for stealing cleats and putting them in the trunk of his car.I'm thinking Coach Beard. He's been a top assistant for a long time. Has those Phil Jackson type qualities that players want to play for. He was part of the valley before he went to AFC Richmond. He's got direct ties to ISU. I'm sure it will be an adjustment for him, but he would be a great hire.
We really debating someone from Ted Lasso’s tree? I’m out on that Wichita State bloodline.I'm thinking Coach Beard. He's been a top assistant for a long time. ISU would have to fully embrace being a villain. The rivalry with Bradley would kick up a few notches. Could be fun.
I have said it before, and I will say it again. Scott Nagy!!!

I was a little surprised that went there, but he was pretty "polite". Would be/will be interesting to see what the Vidette has to say.Five takeaways from Illinois State basketball as Redbirds head into final exam week
