dont interconference transfers have to sit out 2 years?
He'd be a grad xfer with 2 years of eligibility. I'm sure Coach Jake would waive the sit out so Green could play for his dad. Just like he did letting Doug McDermott out of his NLI.

Hear me out....AJ Green get his degree from UNI in may.....what if his dream is to play under his HS dad. Green transfers to ISU and becomes the first ever 2-time Valley POY to win it on different teams. LOL. Not happening but would be a FACINATING turn of events.
I would be lying if I said I haven't dreamt of this.

Not if you’re a grad-transfer. And I’m not sure about the new Covid transfer rules, but Donovan Clay transferred from Valparaiso to Missouri State and did not have to sit at all.

I thought I had read where he recently stated he would not be returning to UNI for the 2022-23 season.

In football you're immediately eligible in conference. Colorado will be playing against 5 or 6 kids who transferred to Oregon and USC this coming season.

I think TBS-20 was saying this is a conference rule - the 2 year sit-out for interconference transfers - and I think it is, or was. Good point about Donovan Clay not sitting out, wonder if the MVC dumped the rule, or the pandemic factored in, or ?????

I think it was part of the pandemic rule's. If is was ok last year than it should work for everyone who is under the pandemic rules this year.

So you're saying we will have AJ Green to replace Strong and go alongside Reeves? Great idea. Now we just need a point guard to run around and pass them the ball and hopefully some bigs who can set a good screen.

Not saying that we don't have a capable point guard on our team, but they could use some development for me to be feeling good about where we stand at the position next year. I love Fleming and hope he can become a really good player for us. Time will tell. Maybe Kyle Green can pull Tyrese Hunter away from Iowa State (I kid).

Rob was the first of a slew of guests on the coach's show last night. After listening to him and learning more about his background and work with the program, I'm more of advocate for the new coach to keep him on the staff in some capacity. His focus is to improve the individual using personalized approach versus just assuming one drill will do the same thing for everyone. He's praised for his ability to connect and instill confidence in players. It's worth a listen.

Didn't see this posted yet. 10 Potential replacements from the Sun-Times.
Whoops has been posted, I am dumb. Good Article though.

Love Powell or Nagy. However, they likely both go for greener pastures after success, but that means success so I'll take it.

Our problem isn’t having a good coach leave after having success; it’s not hiring a good coach to replace the coach that left. If the AD would have replaced KS with someone more qualified than Tom Richardson the Redbirds may have continued to have more success going forward.

Nagy has won at every stop and level. Midwest born and grew up around coaching at a Big Ten Program.

Totally agree with this. The TR hiring after KS stalled the train. We have seen other programs with mid-major success keep it going through the next one or two coaches.
