Here's the beef
Not big stats this year, but did play in just about every game (6 mins per game). 2 points per game, 2 boards per game. Can't teach 6'11, 240.
We already have a 6’11” guy that averages 3 points, 2.5 boards per game. Need better. Not big stats this year, but did play in just about every game (6 mins per game). 2 points per game, 2 boards per game. Can't teach 6'11, 240.
I agree we need better, but the guy was also just a freshman. Guys get better, especially, we hope, with better coaching. We already have a 6’11” guy that averages 3 points, 2.5 boards per game. Need better.
Nope.......if he was playing there in 2012, that would have been almost 30 years after our first round loss to Ohio under Donewald.I think I remember the Redbirds losing to that Ohio team.
Of course, he could possibly have been on an Ohio team that beat ISU around 2012 in a regular seawson game, but when I see a reference to a Bobcat win over the Redbirds, I jump to the conclusion that it's a reference to the infamous first round NCAA Tournament loss.Nope.......if he was playing there in 2012, that would have been almost 30 years after our first round loss to Ohio under Donewald.
I had similar thoughts - he left a top MAC program to come to the current state of affairs at Old State U. That says something about Coach Ryan, or the ISU reputation, or both, and/or something else. Opportunity. Hope. Toledo Coach Kowalczyk is in pretty good shape I think, their program is pretty solid.Of course, he could possibly have been on an Ohio team that beat ISU around 2012 in a regular seawson game, but when I see a reference to a Bobcat win over the Redbirds, I jump to the conclusion that it's a reference to the infamous first round NCAA Tournament loss.
Maybe I shouldn't read too much into this, but if Toledo is not on the verge of head coaching turnover, an encouraging thing is that he is willing to move to Blo-No for what would be considered a lateral Assistant Coaching move. For those unaware of Toledo's location, it is not only a University city in its own right but it is also anout 60 miles south of Detroit, so he is moving to ISU from a market that has professional teams in all major sports. Maybe he wouldn't do that unless he saw the opportunity to accomplish something worth the move. Just speculation; it could turn out that he lost a bet.
That will happen when the person leaving brings positivity and winning to the program. It will happen here someday.Wow, there are message boards with positivity? Even when someone leaves?
It already did for Yak, Ford, Oliver. Would’ve happened to Ward if not for the tragic day. Sorry we weren’t glowing for Duhon or Chad Dollar. That will happen when the person leaving brings positivity and winning to the program. It will happen here someday.
You are right it was Terry Johnson.Terry Johnson I think. Might have been Kenyon Smith. Neither worked out.
Ugh Chris Duhon. It already did for Yak, Ford, Oliver. Would’ve happened to Ward if not for the tragic day. Sorry we weren’t glowing for Duhon or Chad Dollar.
Seems like Offutt has already gotten started recruiting. He follows Ruffin.
I am looking forward to going back the good old days when 30+ pages emanated from a loss .That will happen when the person leaving brings positivity and winning to the program. It will happen here someday.
