I think the players will play pretty loose tonight. A little less pressure on them to try to save their coach's job. I thought they looked extremely tight against INSU and the 2nd half of the SIU game. I think we will hit a bunch of 3's tonight but also probably have more TO's.

I would take the OVER if I were a betting man.
I agree. If I was jones I would probably just throw most of the strategy out the window and tell these guys to go play.

Jesus. Calm down.
I don’t hate him at all. I think if you go back far enough, I was one of the first to mention his name as a potential hire. He was one of my all time favorite players, still is.
I’m simply curious what changed from him coaching out the string to suddenly saying I’m done.
Look. I know you want to worship me. But I am not Jesus.

I think there is some validity to that, honestly. For years, I've played recreational sand volleyball over the summers. Its a good time to have some drinks and not take the game to seriously. Most of the team does not understand or has the ability to perform the basic bump-set-spike philosophy of how a traditional volleyball offense works. So we play free and easy with the simple goal of getting the ball over the net. Probably about 75% of the teams we play are taken by surprise with our "offensive approach," which has lead to beating teams that are much more talented a fundamentally sound. I'm not saying send the guys out there and tell them its a pick up game, but not being married to the offense that's been run could be a good thing. I'm not sure we'll get that since Jones was the "oc," but it could be refreshing.

And many on here wonder, what offensive strategy have we had that we can even divorce?

Reminds me of my drunken ISU sand volleyball days at The Sandwedge (Pretty sure that was the name of the place) back in the 90s.

Simple...hit your shots. That makes any offensive strategy look good. Make your damn layups and fts and we win another 3 or 4 games.

Maybe Dan will be in the stands tonight.
Highly doubt it. He doesn't want to be a distraction. Maybe next year, who knows. Sounded like he planned on watching the games from home from his comments at the coaches show.

They are doubling Reeves if he takes the ball at the top, then as long as they role to basket, they are wide open. I’ll take that or Reeves one on one every day. Like Andrews getting some PT but Abdou was all over on D. Let’s go big!

The start to the 2nd half looks familiar . . . we'll see if Jones can change it up.
