When I think about Horton, I think about those huge basket "standards" coming down from the roof, and for some reason that was so cool to me as a freshman, seemed so "big-time". Still see them in my head. Played a few games in my time on that court and its just cool in there. Great memories.

I see upon poking around Norfolk St. is the alma mater of Mr. Bobby Dandridge, most well known to me for his time on the Milwaukee Bucks in the 70's. Won an NBA crown with both Bucks (alongside Kareem and Oscar Robertson) and Washington (alongside Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld). Nice teammates! Wiki says he scored more points in NBA finals games in the 70's than anyone, including all those teammates mentioned above. Wow.

All of which is to say, go Birds, taking on a respected program in our historically cool arena. Will be watching!

What is considered “lower bowl” in Horton? I haven’t been to a game there since the 80s but if it means just the 6 or 8 rows of bleachers on each side of the court, that’s not a lot and hardly worth commenting on….

For what it’s worth, those have been sold out for a while. I’ve been checking daily and can only get the upper level or dinner package.

It sure would be nice to see Mal end his shooting slump and man, what a slip it is. 6 wins so far and quite a few could’ve easily been easier if he could’ve hit open shots. Birds seem to be rolling right now and it’s a blast to watch.

Mal will end his shooting slump soon I am pretty confident with that, he's too good of a shooter. The last few games he's brought it on the defense end going up against Perry and Warrick and made it tough on them especially after Warrick had like 9 points off the back Wednesday and only 6 the rest of way.

I believe that Mal is 100% focusing on playing lock down defense, which is wearing him down and affecting his outside shot. I’ll take that defense every time. He will adjust to that soon and those shots will start falling. Maybe see him take it in the paint a little more until the outside shot starts dropping.

Not worried about Mal's shooting one bit. He's getting good shots and it's just a matter of time. Whoever taught that kid how to shoot did a very good job. I was VERY happy too see him get into the lane and convert on a tough layup. We need one more guard who can consistently give us more of that.

Also, I see the charge in my CC. I go into my account and it states they will be emailed to me 48hrs before the game. Anyone familiar with this process? Why the delay?

“Shooter’s gonna shoot” mentality! It’s gonna come. He’s too good of a shooter and it’s just a streak. Coach Pedon mentioned several times in his post game about how many good looks we are getting as a team. Those shots have not been falling and we are winning! Will pay dividends later when they do. Have to make critical free throws down the stretch to put games away!!!!!! Go Birds!!!!!

Fourth game in ten days against a team that has not played in eight days on our "home" court. This game has all the earmarks of "trap".

The last game was a bit of a throwback to the latter day Muller era where we did not seem to value the ball. Holding the ball out away from the body and passes that were not sharp. If we can limit our turnovers to ten or less we should be able to get the "W".

Gotta win the turnover and rebound battles. Took awhile last game to get consistent movement and tempo on offense but that's when we started getting better shots. Would like to see a faster start. Perimeter shots will be there, but if the DBs can find seams let's attack. Most of all, don't come out tight. Gonna be a lot of energy in the building, so use that. Play loose and fast.

And just f'ing win.

Same for me last year. I just went up to the ticket counter at Horton Fieldhouse before the game and they had them for me. I think I just showed them the confirmation email.

It's a pretty cool looking ticket, I assume they just want people to have those.

I received my ticket via email and it was in digital format just like my season tickets. Same thing they did last year. When you enter Horton you were given a complimentary keepsake type of ticket which was very cool. I hope they do that this year as well. I added my ticket to the apple wallet on my phone just like I did with my season tickets. I didn’t think they were printing off tickets anymore and went fully digital.
