All right 1st time seeing this team live.
1. The students showed up. The fans showed up. It was loud and hot! I would imagine the outcome will discourage returnees.
2. Hand the keys to JK. No questions asked. If we are going to take the lumps, take them with a Fresh, not 4, 5 whatever year the seniors are.
3. The end of the bench P5 portal transfers are not working. Illinois, Wisconsin, KSU, UVA, whoever. Try something different with the portal.
4. I watched warm ups. Other than JK, I'm not sure we have a guard that could knock down 10 3s in a row in warm ups. The guard skill is just not there. You can really see the lack of fundamentals in person. The passing accuracy, the dribbling to nowhere, the fast break, the court vision, even catching the ball in a triple threat position is not happening.
5. Lewis - TOs, dumb technical (he deserved it). Foster - solid game. Let's wait for Valley play for a true evaluation. Lieb- There's a reason (many reasons) he's 7 foot + and at ISU.
6. #6! He made them look silly! Got in their heads. He really caused chaos with the fan situation. While I don't condone his actions or attitude, his results were crazy. 31 points? Do we have anyone that can drop 31 points and carry the team like that? Legit question.
7. Be better. Do better.

I haven't read any posts, just letting it fly.

I'm disappointed we lost the game. Many thoughts on how we played and all that. BUT...it felt like I was back in college. I loved the back and forth with #6 and making him an enemy. Hell of a player who definitely baits the crowd and knows what he's doing. The perfect villain for us to unleash upon. Man I enjoyed that. I loved the noise. I loved that I walked out of Horton feeling just a little bit spent. I loved that those around us stood for much of the game and I loved that we yelled for most of the game.

I used to walk out of Redbird with a scratchy voice, my ears ringing, and emotionally spent. I feel a bit like that tonight. And it feels good.

The bright side as well? We've won 3 out of 4. Offensively I have my SAME concerns (at times big ones) but for the time being I want to enjoy the buzz of tonight. And I am, and I will.

Proud to be a Redbird.

Probably one of most intense sporting events I have ever attended. The noise, the heat, the drama, that was crazy!

Lots of potential low-hanging fruit in this one.

Let's not overlook Pedon scheduling four games in nine days. All three prior were tight until the end. Now, maybe Ryan scheduled NKU and NSU prior to the MVC schedule coming out that had us playing at UIC and MuSU on Thursday/Sunday rather than Wednesday/Saturday. Twenty-four extra hours (four in ten days) may have helped as at times we looked dead on our legs.

We also did not have the luxury of playing at CEFCU. We were nearly as unfamiliar playing (shooting) at Horton as they were.

When your margin for error is small, these things matter.

As far as three-pointers, we looked about as accurate as the fans who were tossing at the midcourt target come halftime. They were coming from almost everyone at any direction with little success.

There was a possession with about four or so minutes left in the game that kind of summed up the evening. Both Dalton and Malachi had open looks but they each just passed it to the other (twice). Neither looked like they wanted any part of shooting at that time.

I said there's a 99.9% chance that no one said anything during that basketball game, this if you want to call him head coach,he has cried wolf before a few times at public University's. nothing new and it seems like he's kind of a POS to me
