It's not easy to identify and secure a dawg, and it seems they have done it with JK. Kudos to Pedon and staff.

So far the only thing that I haven't liked are the mini 2-3 minute scoring droughts after we got the lead built up. Going to be a whole lot of fun when they learn how to put their foot on their throats and finish teams off once they get a decent lead.

Still ahead in the rebounding battle +4 with the gap being +4 on off boards.

Really like seeing Banks with 5 steals too. Leading in points and then not taking possessions off on the other end. Leading by example.

Need to bring this game back under control. Kinziger has incredible vision and he's making some really great passes.

Metamoron was right, we need to clone Kinziger. Can we get 3 of him on the court at once?

3/13 from FT stripe and 15 turnovers. Not a good recipe, but they still have a lead somehow. Going to need to get the right guys to the stripe down the stretch.

Kinziger already eating into Poindexter/Kasubke minutes. Going to be a crowded backcourt until January when the rotation settles.

Can't get away with this now, but back in the late 70s in Lawrenceville, IL Coach Feller (Bobby Knight protégé) had early morning ft practices. They would cover the door windows with paper when practicing fts. Every missed ft resulted in removing an article of clothing until ur were standing there in a jock strap. Today it would be ur Under Armour, but the coach would get fired.

Only listened to the game...but sounds like the beach was apply intense/physical pressure. Great experience for the physical conference schedule.

1700512851770.png,

Some ugly stuff here, particularly the 13/27 from the stripe. Ended up losing the rebounding battle too, but still managed to get the dub and that's all that matters especially in a tournament environment.

Glad we got Poindexter back in down the stretch so he could sink a couple big FT. Also good to see Banks get his critical ones to go down as well.

Started making the freebies at the end. Make them during the rest of the game and you don't even have to go to the foul line. Great defense, spotty offense. Burford forces it when we are in a drought. Wish we just move the ball instead of constant turnovers.

Good win, win the next few too.
