Convert FT and we're up by more than 8. Taking care of the glass and converting half of 3 point attempts is a good recipe for success. Really like seeing 8 Offensive boards.

I don’t want to be overly pessimistic and reactionary to just small sample size halves of basketball, but losing points off turnovers by 10+ in a half and turning the basketball over 10 times will lose us a lot more games than the defensive intensity wins us. We shared the basketball much better that half and we rebound it well, but we have to stop turning the ball over immediately. It was a problem last year and remains a problem this year. That and the free throw shooting are huge causes for concern that winning teams, teams that win their league, don’t have.

That's a big concern on an individual level. Guards especially need to hit their FTs.

Great game so far. Overall good ball movement and I like seeing the confidence of Lieb, JK and Pence starting to grow. I didn't pay attention to Lieb's first 2 fouls but his 3rd at the end of the first half was silly. I'm so impressed by JK's composure and the way he plays the game. He has such a pure looking shot, plays under control, sees the court, plays solid defense, understands spacing and doesn't force anything. If he keeps continuing to grow like this, Wisconsin will be saying WTF were we thinking not offering him, and go after him. Back to enjoying the moment, his style of play and body language reminds me of a young John Stockton.
