No inside joke. I was just say the crowd was very sparse and almost no one was wearing a mask
Good. Let's keep that type of rhetoric to a minimum. Good vibes and positivity! My daily devotional today said "ask he who is willing, but not deceive the one who is not." I can't agree more.

Go REDBIRDS!!!

I did. He was sitting with Dana Ford. Coach Jacobson stopped by and talked with him also.
Good. I figured there would be a Dan appearance. I couldn't make the game due to a flight delay but will be settled in St Louis hopefully before midnight. I cannot wait to see the Birds give em heck tomorrow!!!

Classy move by Dan.
After 7 post-season appearances and 3 consecutive NCAA appearances for Rich Herron's SIU, they followed it up with a 10th place finish in 1996. I remember standing behind Rich Herron in line at the Kiel Center that year to buy a ticket because only the top 8 teams made the tournament. Classy move by Herron as well ( and I'm guessing a crappy move by SIU or the Valley by not getting him a free pass).

Feels great to advance to Friday. I love the atmosphere and environment of Arch Madness, truly one of a kind. It is 10x better in person, but I still get such good vibes from watching it on TV. A truly special tournament. I will be able to go with a win vs UNI, so hoping we steal one and I can be there Saturday.

I'm feeling like we have a chance tomorrow. We are definitely capable of competing with Northern Iowa. Hopefully we can come out strong and play a great game. This wasn't a huge blow out win or by any means pretty, so maybe we can follow it up with a big one tomorrow. We definitely struggled to get open shots to fall, but so did Indiana State. Played well overall defensively, but had some extremely noticeable, terrible breakdowns leading to WIDE open shots. Indiana St. did a good job hounding Reeves and making him earn his 15 points. Let's get this win tomorrow, GO REDBIRDS!

Adunk, where did you see this at?
When I opened my ESPN App through Apple TV and searched “Illinois State Basketball” to bring the game versus ISUb up, it was listed there.

For long time fans, compare Freeman to point guards Michael McKenny, Jamar Smiley, Vince Green, or Richard Thomas. There is no valid comparison. Yet another recruiting miss.
Kinda unfair to single him out and declare him a "recruiting miss" because he is not as good as the best at his position in a generation; some of us could make similar unfavorable comparisons for everyone on the roster if we get to compare them to the best at their positions dating back to the mid '70s," because a current player is not headed for the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame does not make him a recruiting miss.

Multitasking in this post to address the Gerry Pollard/officiating thread, my beef last night was that the entire crew was letting A LOT of contact in the paint go without a call when the fouls would have veebmn called during the regular season. There were only two free throws attempted in the first half, both by the Sycs.
