Was he the ref on ”the Carmichael kick?” I don’t remember.

What I remember is the game he made an ass of himself by trying to be the center of attention. He threw a fan out at halftime.
For some reason, I thought Pollard was on the crew that night. I very well could be wrong. Fairly sure Paul Jansen was one of the three officials that night.

It would be interesting seeing what these players could do in a decent offensive set. Antonio running off screens like Evansville players used to. Josiah setting up outside for kickouts. Etc

Too bad Muller is not coach of Indiana State. He would let this play out at end

We survived. Ugly game. Also, really poor TV crew. Hope we can get after it against UNI tomorrow.

Not!!! The blame is not on the officiating. The blame is on how poor we play. Are you watching how atrocious we are playing tonight and have played the last several years? It ain’t the officiating that is causing us to lose.
NOT Not! Pollard thinks the fans pay to see him. Has nothing to do with this particular game or the Redbirds in general.

I have no illusions that we’ll win tomorrow. UNI did choke as the 1 seed against a Thursday night team before.

Lewis fouled there best ft shooter 94 ft from the basket by reaching in and then double teams under the basket and leaves open a 3 pt shooter. A 2 ain't going to beat you! Survive to play another day. Another grinder tomorrow...I hope.

David Hall, Paul Janssen, Gerry Pollard

and, if you recall, Carmichael was not whistled for a foul on the floor, only after video review ... and then they sent the wrong shocker to the foul line

In a release, the Missouri Valley Conference reprimanded the three-man officiating team of David Hall, Paul Janssen and Gerry Pollard for incorrectly awarding two late technical foul shots to the wrong player in the Shockers 68-67 victory over the Redbirds.

Following a flagrant I call on Illinois State’s Jackie Carmichael for, intentionally or not, kicking Tekele Cotton on a rebound, the crew awarded the shots to the Shockers’ Cleathony Early, who sank both free throws. Wichita State trailed 67-60 at that point and Early would hit a three-pointer with 5.2 seconds left to give Gregg Marshall’s squad the win, capping the comeback.

A replay revealed Cotton was kicked, not Early.

The statement did not say how the officials were punished.

Cotton shoots 58.6 percent from the free throw line; Early 80.5 percent.

Awesome to see this! So happy for Antonio and the boys. Who knows what happens tomorrow in an early game vs a heavy favorite! Also, did anyone notice ex coach Muller at the game?
