I think we will do a good job today. I am hoping the team has seen enough junk at this point to be able to prevail in these conference games. I sure hope the break was a good recharge for them. I wonder how many were able to go home over the holidays or if there was no time for that (obviously I mean the far out-of-towners)... Anybody know the scoop on that?

MY and PF were both at home for a bit, based on their social media.

The team was afforded a 5 day break to go home. Unless they had to walk I'm guessing everyone could have made it if they chose.

Copeland, and Key were home too. I assume almost everyone went home for break. The Florida kids; Hein, Key, Rey, had some easy travel with the last non-con game being at UCF. Muller was out recruiting at Pontiac, watching a lot of Bloom Township, Curie, and Simeon.

It'd be smart to jump on the Simeon train since Illinois (Underwood) burned that bridge with the THT saga. Now is definitely the right time to try and build that relationship with Smith.

Start of conference play, same team as non-conference. Will be surprised if they aren’t 0-9 on the road in the Valley this year.

This is one of the teams we need to beat on the road if we want to compete in the MVC this year. Let's hope all the moms had a discussion with their sons similar to Paris' mom over the holiday break.

I crossed paths with Abdou Ndaiye on dec 20th in terminal 2 at ohare. He was by himself sporting a bright red T-shirt with Reggie on the front. You could see him from about 100 yards given height and that shirt. Maybe that is the day their break started?

Edit... dec 20th could not be date as ISU played since then

Break started after the game in Fla. Being as he's not on the active roster I don't think he can travel with the team. That would have been the day before their last game

72-61 Birds.

Had myself a big dose of the Redbird Kool-Aid over the break.

I'm hoping that we learned some things on defense and shooters were able to get some confidence back.

That link brings up the website with a title screen with Redbirds and Valpo for me.

It started up, and is UNC/Harvard in Spanish. ESPN+ may be having issues.

Phil & Zach were planning on heading to the Bay Area for Christmas.
