Unpopular opinion. Time for Ben to go.What the hell is happening in Cedar Falls? UNI just lost another home game to a now 4 - 6 South Florida team. They are now 3 - 7 with three home wins against Wartburg, NIU and Evansville.
Idk if it’s time to go, but time for him to do some painful analysis and change approach. He hasn’t really used the portal and it shows.Unpopular opinion. Time for Ben to go.
Coach Jake is doing what he can to keep his "traditional" college basketball team together. He wants to build with freshman and rarely supplement with transfers and Jucos. If Heise and Phyfe were healthy, they are probably winning a lot more of these games.Idk if it’s time to go, but time for him to do some painful analysis and change approach. They should just have it in Fargo, then NDSU would never have to travel. Although I believe many of their fans have purchased vacation homes in Frisco (I thought it sounded like a foolish investment, but I guess I was wrong. Been there 9 out of 12 years) They don't call it Fargo South for nothing! When I heard they were building it, I thought that it wouldn't be a surprise for STL to submit a bid in the future to try to host the FCS title game. I don't know what the current contract is with Frisco, though.
A basketball lover's dream. 11 games in 4 days. It seems like the conference might be a little closer than some originally thought. Bradley has been the most impressive but all 12 teams have shown they can be beaten. I anticipate a lot of competitive games throughout the season and down in STL.
I don't know if I've ever seen a player respectfully engage with fans like that after being challenged on social. Most, rightfully, ignore it and don't respond. But in this case, Neese did a very nice job. Good for him. There are some in the Terre Haute area that would probably argue for their trees having the most impressive start despite dropping the game to USI. Cooper Neese has been all over twitter imploring people to head to the Hulman Center. He even had this interesting exchange with a fan today:

Yeah, it was certainly an interesting exchange. Honestly, kind of nice to see when usually it's just someone clapping back to "ratio" someone else. Neese kind of speaks to what a lot of fans speak to about Redbird Arena. How do we fill it back up? The answer is simple. win at a really high rate for a sustained period. Make it the place to be. Of course, that's way easier said than done in today's transfer landscape.I don't know if I've ever seen a player respectfully engage with fans like that after being challenged on social. They crawled almost all the way back from 22 down. Down three with four and a half left, let's see if they can complete the comeback and win.Murray State getting hammered pretty hard at home by Chicago State right now.

Iowa last year. I think Michigan did it back to back years. One of those years their plane slid off the runway and they played in their practice gear.4 wins in 4 days? If so I stand corrected but that is a monumental task.
Watched nearly this entire game. Chicago St. built their lead running sets. Then in the 2nd half they went on a solid stretch of hero ball and never really got their footing back. Choked away a massive lead and then gave up an uncontested layup in a halfcourt set with 9 seconds to go. It was ridiculous how terrible that final basket was. They are now 3-0 at home and 0-9 on the road. One of those 3 wins was over Valpo. The guy they really need to hold down is Weaver and Jean-Charles was the guy getting the sneaky try hard points last night but not sure if he's a game in game out guy.Took the lead with 9 seconds left and won.
I thought Murray did. I could be wrong, but I know they led MVC in attendance for game 1.I mean someone posted the opening night attendance numbers for the Valley games. I don't think any one broke 5k?
They did. SIU had 5200 in their home opener vs. Little Rock. Murray St had 5471 against us, which is the highest attended game by anyone so far in the Valley. We have drawing power in other venues!I thought Murray did. I could be wrong, but I know they led MVC in attendance for game 1.
To be fair. Not many good home opponents. It’s hard to get up for Chicago State, Northwestern State, WIU, etc. They did. SIU had 5200 in their home opener vs. Little Rock.
