Del Yarborough's teammates are on campus. It's Retro Night. We're at Redbird and Milik and the boys are not losing.

When Milik is engaged, there’s no reason we can’t win this damn thing in two weeks.

Fun second half.

If Keyshawn is healthy in StL and Tinsley is playing like this, you may be able to disguise Fayne being out for a game or two. If he can’t go though, it will be tough to win 3 in a row. We’ll get a chance on Sat to see how we match up against Loyola without him. It doesn’t really matter to rush him back early as any team in the top 6 can win this. This also could be the year the 7 knocks off the 2.

Did you notice Dan stayed with the hot hands down the stretch? Boogie was phenomenal. Gassman’s best game and he played guard when they went with the big lineup. Williams with some great shots and a huge take at one point plus clutch free throws. Man I will take this one happily esp being short handed

My guess is Fayne will be good to go soon. Was walking around fine today without a boot. There isn't really a rush now that a spot in Friday is locked up.

Tv guys said Fayne has a chance to play on Wednesday night vs Drake.

6,535 at the game. Last 11 minutes of first half was hard to watch but the second half we played with confidence. I thoight the croen was engaged the second half.

I agree with others that Elijah needs to be able to play without worrying he is going to get pulled quckly. He got pulled after

1. A goaltending which was defensive mistake by someone else
2. A jumper in the lane that was half way down which I thought was a good shot
3. In the second half he let his guy drive by him and he never saw the floor again

Btw if we put the fear of God in him that he can't miss a jumper and he doesn't shoot, teams will just sag off of him and take away the drive which is his biggest asset.

I personally hope Phil comes back against Drake. I would like to beat them and potential get the 3 seed. It would be nice to be on the other side of the bracket of Loyola. It would also help to knock off the Cobb webbs prior to the MVC tournament. I would not be surprised by any outcome in St. Louis from losing the first game to winning it all. I am sure there are a few other teams saying the same thing though.

I'm starting to think that our offense works better when Yarborough plays out of the post, especially against slower teams like UNI. Puts him in range and gives our shooters space to work.

Thoughts?

Yes! Most definitely.

Constantly looking over your shoulder during dead balls for your sub kills basketball IQ and instinct. However, I think Dan has done a better job the latter part of the conference season with subbing. (Possibly credit that to a short bench?) But excuses and injuries aside, EC needs to be taking almost all of MH's minutes at this point. Although Elijah turns it over too much, his defense and offensive potential is light years ahead of Matt's.

Twice on consecutive possessions. Both times he got caught anticipating a pick that wasn't there and moved the wrong way.

Also pulled after a god-awful over-the-head alleyoop pass to a completely unprepared Ndiaye. It may have looked like a shot to most people, but from my angle it was definitely a pass.

EC needs to learn to play a little more under control.

And if we lost this game because EC wasn't under control and gave the ball away a couple times too many . . . what would folks be saying then?

So if we have nothing to play for and should be giving guys experience, why is everyone mad when we lose?

I’m not mad that we lose. I’m mad that we suck. Losing is just the icing on the suck cake.
No icing for you.

I am a huge EC fan and think he is gonna be a stud. But his defensive effort on those 2 plays was pathetic and I’m not mad he got benched. He will be out there again Wednesday and will probably have an increased intensity on that side of
The court. Was nice to see him hit a 3 though, with a jumper, he is unstoppable in the valley.

I know we are all worried about when PF will comeback but has anyone heard anything about TB? Isn't a concussion in basketball usually only like a week or so?
