Are we honestly depending on the Pantagraph for anything these days?

I’m pretty sure we can see plain as day what’s going on with the program.

A team with all of its senior players back just got absolutely humiliated by the Drake Bulldogs, who didn’t have 60% of their starting lineup at its disposal.

Think about that for a minute. Can you imagine ISU beating Drake if ISU did not have Fayne, Evans and Copeland and Drake DID have Wilkins, McGlynn and Norton? That’s pretty much what Drake just did to your ISU Redbirds. By 16 points!

Can you ever imagine in a million years Muller being able to get that kind of value out of his team? Being able to develop an entire roster so when starters get hurt there are 3 new guys ready to come in and majorly contribute. It doesn’t happen.

This was the softest Valley pretty much ever in the history of the league. The 5 seed beat the 6 seed. And we couldn’t make it out of the quarters against a team with 2 starters.

If Copeland leaves is that not a HUGE red
Flag?

Pretty much puts it all in perspective. Sadly

Hey Dan, this guy seems like your kind of big.

Seems attainable based on offers:

Looks like a helluva talent. Seems odd he doesn’t have better offers...

Why post this on the board? Why not email Dan or one of the assistants and suggest this kid might be a good fit?

And generally, when the offers are few it means grades may be an issue . . . or one good week may be the kid's ceiling.

Dan’s obviously following this thread title. Bogan plays U-High in the supersectionals tonite in Joliet.

If I were ISU president and AD and if I were Dan Muller I would be closely studying what coaches from Wofford, Lipscomb, Murray St, Belmont, Buffalo are doing. These teams are so much better than Valley teams right now.

What kind of players are they getting? What is the profile of those players? Are their players winning in high school/AAU?

How do they play as a team?

How good are they right in the beginning of the year vs end of year?

How long do players stay in the program?

good post. I agree 100%. every one of those schools would destroy us right now.

And, yet, win next year not matter what, even tho you know it will take about 3 years to match their player profiles, etc., right? If you're going to suggest this "plan" then I'd hope you're willing to allow the "plan" to develop.
